Whenever I go into rumour mill this thread is never there I have to search for it in the search option, I only found it in the first place because it came up as the last visited by a member on the forum selection page?

It’s a hard read again on here at the moment,lose 1 match and hammer certain players is a real trait amongst some of our support base.Most people can see what the management are trying to do regarding evolution but it’s never good enough or quick enough.Some of the comments I’ve read are scandalous from so called “football experts”. Easy to slag players without being constructive on a keyboard. I do agree that certain players probably can’t compete at this level but injuries are leaving not a lot of choice,let’s see around the end of September.

When people say Norwood is still an excellent player or Norwood is our weakness. Both opinions have merit.

I tend to think Norwood excels when we're at home dominating matches, with us having loads of possession.
However in away matches against really good teams or quick/physical or athletic midfielders Norwood seems to regularly struggle and be non effective.
Also liked the reminder that he was one of the key factors behind our rise into the Premier League, so he will always have my respect and appreciation.

If you play Norwood then you have to build your team with a Moneyball approach - ie play players for their strengths, but cover their weaknesses within the team selection.

Nowood is great given time on the ball, but when he loses it he is a car crash. He either takes a yellow or our back 3 are horribly exposed. When he is on the ball somebody has to drop in behind him in front of Egan. This is not League 1.

I think the hudders stuff is put out to appease their fans a bit as they were previously in for him and are struggling to attract anyone at the moment, just a bit of lip service to make the fans think they are doing something when they aren't!
