Don't think you can blame him for any of our conceded goals and he has made some important saves.

Keep him in for me, puts pressure on him with moore Waiting in the wings
U can blame him for the one against borough, yes bash made the mistake with the poor header, but Blackman was caught in no mans land, and as a 6 foot 6 keeper he should have came and punched, or if he stayed on his line, it would have been a simple catch

He wouldn't have been caught anywhere if basham had cleared it properly

Correct. He started to come and then stopped. Ok look, he's a young kid, he made a mistake, that's no big deal in itself. But he seems very nervous to me and that's really not a good sign.

isnt hindsight wonderful

Im sure he thought Bashams going to lob it straight up in the air Ill stay back

was left in between due to an uncertain header , cant take any blame was just unfortunate

Moore would probably have been similarly been caught out

we will concede goals not every one is stoppable

Typical Blades logic amongst a section of our fan base. Now Moore is injured, he's suddenly become Gordon Banks mk 2? Utter bollocks. Did I imagine the near post goals at Scunny & Wimbledon? Moore is injured. We're 5th in the league and someone who's obviously never ever had a woman in his life decides to post this instead of having a wank?!!!!

CW has said all along there's no room in football for sentiment if a player is doing well it's up to others to do better to win the shirt, blackmans shirt to lose, he has a 60% win record, if that's not good enough to keep the shirt, the CW needs to rethink his team togetherness.
Yes I agree his distribution is dire but until it directly costs us (see carsons howlers for Derby) then it should be Moore and Eastwood fighting for the number 1 shirt because tbh jake has not done his self any harm with his preformances when stepping in, long time since we had 2 never mind 3 keepers good enough to fight for the starting shirt.
UTB

I asked the question because i believe that generally the player should keep the shirt if he is playing well, however,i don't know if i would apply the same rule of thumb if the player was only on loan.I was a bit concerned that we were starting the Championship with an unproven keeper, but i have been pleasantly surprised. The fact that we have defended far better than i expected has made Jams job easier and i accept that his kicking 'from hands' is a bit suspect, but his kicking and footwork in general is quite acceptable.I cannot see any reason why he shouldn't continue to play, even when Moore is fit,but i'm sure when he has his first bad game he will be hung out to dry !!

Keep Jam in until he makes errors. That will spur Moore on more and more (sorry :p)

Sends the wrong message if dropped for performing well. He only kicks dodgy from his hands sometimes - not all of them nearly loop back over his head lol.

Kicking from the floor is plenty good enough.

Keep him in

Moore doesn't need spurring on. He should go straight back in and I know Wilder will do that.

The reason is simple. Moore has more experience and doesn't look like he is going to make a mistake at any moment!

Tough one this. I was purring after his Brentford performance but since then , mmm.

For a bloke his size he certainly doesn't dominate his area in the way I would have expected and, having previously praised his quick reactions, I thought he responded very slowly to Bryson's header when he seemed to go down in instalments. I can think of plenty of keepers who would have saved that.

I think the next few games are crucial for him and I hope he comes through with flying colours.

Was at fault for the Boro goal for Basham heading straight up into the air, he should have made Basham head it away.

He was at fault for the Derby goal, because nobody was marking Bryson in the box, it's the goalkeepers job to position his defenders.

He was at fault for the Cardiff first because he should have been positioned on the rear corner of his box when the ball was swung in. He'd have claimed the ball easily then.

He was at fault for Cardiff's second as he allowed Menzes Laing to expose Bashams Trawler turning circle. Again, the keeper should command his box more.

If you'd believe most of the posts on here.

From the lad with the most ironic title I've probably ever seen...

At least my contribution extends beyond one line nit picking to prove that I went to 'journalism school'.

I don't think anyone's blaming him for anything. Moore's a better GK and has more experience. That's all.

I don't think Moore is as good as everyone says, mostly because he had fekall to do in most games last season and every shot the oppo seemed to have went in.

So lets ditch our best goalie since Kenny in favour of a loanee. Brilliant.

Who said ditch him? He's injured.

And for me....I'd play who i'd believe is the strongest irrespective of loan players or not.

Additionally, Steven Hawking would have done as well as most of those GKs too.
