One to play just behind the striker or just in central midfield. Now he would be a great signing but I think he'll go to Rotheham or the likes.

Plenty of potential and caps at U21 level.

Jake Dane Forster-Caskey is an English professional footballer. He is the son of former professional player Darren Caskey and is the stepson of the former striker Nicky Forster.

OK then...

Wag it all about why don't yer :o

Was just thinking about him as a potential target the other day! Having also predicted the interest in Fleck. God I know everything.

This would be an indication that Wilder still wants another central midfielder anyway, and a more attack minded one at that, which for me would be a relief.

I assume Caskey and Forster aren't best mates !

All abut Juve and Pog in the Italian Serie A where there are about 4-5 competitive teams ;)

Only seen him a couple of times, and from what I saw, would be a great signing.

Forster-Caskey's left footed as well, and can play on the left. So although he'd probably be signed to play in the centre we'd have the option to play him wide left too, so being left footed is preferable even if we have already signed another one in Fleck.

With one year left on his contract I expect he'd now cost between 300-500k, which would be fairly good value IMO.

But, it wouldn't surprise me if this report of our interest is outdated now that we've signed Fleck.

Is he a striker or midfield player....or should I ask which dad does he take after ?

Centre Midfeild, we had him on loan last season. He's an absolutely class footballer. Apparently Rotherham are in for him, I'd be surprised if he dropped into league one. Would be one of the best signings of the window.

I signed this lad on Fifa 13 for United. He scored shit loads from midfield with that awesome left peg of his. Whith him in the team we won League 1 and the Championship at a canter. I signed a couple of world class players when we got to the Premiership but he still proved to be a decent squad player reaching a peak overall rating of about 80.

With this in mind I have no hesitation in recommending him to Wilder as a potential signing.

Get him signed up o_O

What's Nii Lamptey up to?

Wilder had him on loan at Oxford a few years ago i think so could be something in it

He's undoubtedly a good player and would, I'm sure, prove to be a good investment but do we really need another left sided CM/LM having just signed Fleck? If there are funds available to afford such a purchase I'd much rather it be directed towards a big, physical striker (Akinde, Clarke etc), a better GK and an out & wide man (depending on which wing CW intends to play Duffy.

If we get chance to sign a player like Forster/Caskey we HAVE to take it. He's a top player, far too good for League 1, so will more than likely stay in the Championship.

So you think we should sign another CM/LM of a similar type to one we've just signed at the expense of other, more urgently required, positions, meaning that you'd be happy to go into the season without a target man, natural wide player or a better GK?

The way the squad is taking shape I reckon we will be playing with a 3 man midfield, making the acquirement of a target man less pressing.

In terms of centre midfield quality we are extremely low. Fleck hopefully will be a creative spark, other than that we have nothing. So another CM who can create chances, and be box to box is a must for me, Forster-Caskey ticks those boxes and more.

The way Wilder has been operating has been very calculated - so he will know the impact of what signing certain players will have on budgets/other targets etc.
