Pleased hes signed back on again. Both parties clearly wanted it to happen and will have been negotiating for a while. Not the quickest but he definitely steadies the ship in midfield. Welcome back Jairio

Good signing, free, still only 29 years old, had positive impact on us when he played last season and you’d hope with a full pre-season behind him he’ll be more robust this season.

I’d actually prefer him to Phillips, more reliable, younger and we know what we’re getting for a fraction of the cost.

Arblaster will play a bigger role this season and be back to his best, so it will be him and one other in the midfield. Rothwell and Jairo should be good partner for him and then hopefully we can add another with mobility and legs to replace Peck (who’s most likely on his way out).

Despite the panic about central midfield, I actually think we’ll be alright in there next season, I think Rothwell will surprise us, and I can’t believe how so many fans have written off Arblaster. Just need a good, energetic replacement for Peck.

We probably have been paying him til 30 June, probably on bigger wages than he will now be on. So he and the club probably have agreed in in principle for a couple of weeks, but the lad has quite rightly sat his higher weekly wage contract out and then signed on again now the original has expired. Id do the same tbh.
