F@@k me some people need to have a word with themselves and remember where we were this time last year ! If this happens I can't see how people can complain !!!! Very very good player at this level , premiership teams still want him , Jesus 2 seasons ago we had melt downs over Dan f@@king Burn not signing . This would be a great signing for us surely !?!?!? In Wilder we trust - look what he did for our players last season , I for one am certainly sure he would get Jags playing very well indeed and if he needs me to pick him up ........
As ever UTB !

Can we please hurry up and get this one over the line so we can turn our attentions to Kyle Walker?

If there is a real mileage in this one , it will depend on the Harry and Kyle deal being over the line so we have the windfall of dosh to entice Jags with the salary and coaching job.

We do need a steady experienced head at the back and the bloke fits the bill . Forget about the hand ball and never mentioning the blades , this is football .

IMO he will run out his contract at Everton for the money , and not playing won't be a big deal for him .

Is this one just fans talk and speculation for the summer . We do need a Stella defender signing .

If this comes off it's a major signing and one of intent. Considering we are coming UP into the league, it shouldn't happen. This is the sort of signing your Hull's and Middlesbrough 's should be signing. Not a newly promoted team

Someone on Twitter who knows Wilder has stated that he's asked CW and CW has said no. I trust this guys knowledge 100%. So either Wilder is bluffing a close mate or it's a load o

After so many combined years of working closely with Utd on a daily basis, do you and your colleague not have any better contacts in the club from which to gain insights and info than basing your view on someone (who I know) who, very wisely, certainly wouldn't give out any secrets over social media? Case in point - the signing of Evans.

This is where all the wannabe 'journalists' fall over themselves to take a punt at what precisely is going to happen on the off chance that it does so they can claim King ITK status.

I might play. Think I'll go for '2 year deal with the option of a 3rd with a coaching role involved, medical on Wednesday'.
Yeah that's what I've been told as well

They are split because they want to be top 6. They assume they can spend 30million on a replacement if he goes. None are slating him at all, in fact the ones that like him seem to love him as a player still.

He only started playing again towards the end of the season due to injuries. Everton would probably be happy to keep him as back up but nothing more.

It's up to Jags whether he wants to be a squad player or be a regular elsewhere (hopefully United).

Sorry if it has been posted before.

Phil Jagielka is determined to make his fifth European adventure with Everton one to remember - but acknowledges the groundwork must be done in pre-season.
“There is going to be a key tie in pre-season that we hope to get through and then the journey and excitement begins,” the captain told evertonfc.com.

“There will be long weeks playing a lot of games but, hopefully if we qualify, the manager can sort out his squad and decide what he going to do for each game.

“It’s another test for us but one we are looking forward to.”

Jagielka believes Everton deserve another crack at European football after a year of progress under Ronald Koeman.

“We needed to get back into the top half of the league and push for those European places, and we’ve done that,” added the 34-year-old.

“We could and should have gone further in the cup competitions, but that wasn’t to be and it’s something to look forward to next year.

“It’s a very positive season and something to work off. We are not the complete project yet and we need to make sure everyone comes back fit and raring to go in pre-season.

“With a couple of additions, hopefully it will be a good season.”

If I may ask, what is the difference to readers between you saying 'a mate of CW sez it int hapnin' and others saying 'sources say it's a done deal'?

Somebody will be right, of course. I'm just confused as to why you feel people should listen to you over those who say it's happening when it's all anonymous anyway.

Fair point, suppose it's a personal opinion but I've looked at these Twitter accounts starting the rumours & they look dodgy, all the accounts look similar. They're all "journalist students" from varying university's. They all have a very similar link to a blog on their profile. They're saying things like "KM is on holiday in Benidorm" lol.

Seems like either a group of or an individual has decided to spend a lot of time creating a very detailed rumour and used other accounts to make it look real.

If I'm wrong I'll hold my hands up and I'll be over the moon as I think it would be an awesome signing, he may even still sign at some point but I'm almost certain these accounts claiming it's close or a done deal are a load of rubbish.

It's not just what he has posted, if you look at every single twitter account that has started this rumour or claimed to be in the know they're all coincidentally similar, why on earth would a student journo from Hull or Leicester have this news before radio Sheffield or James Shield for example.

It looks to me as though a very sad person or persons have created multiple accounts to get this rumour going and then a couple of the "transfer news" accounts have picked up on it and it's snowballed from there.

Like I've said if I'm wrong I'll hold my hand up and Jags may even sign at some point but Twitter trolls saying it's a done deal are just making stuff up imo.

He must be on at least 60k a week, no chance at his age is he going to give that up when he will never earn money like that again. He would be mad to.

I have no idea whether he will sign but I do know interest has been shown so they may be edging their bets.

One way of looking at Jags' current situation is to say, as has been said, that he's wealthy enough to follow his heart as to which club he plays for in his declining years.

Another way of looking at his current situation is to say that, if I was Jags and money wasn't an issue, my heart would be telling me what it had told me all along .... which is to the play at the highest level I can, for as long as I can.

Anyhow. Bollocks to the twitter spanners, what do Maxster and Magic Mike have to say about all this ?

:)

Jimmy Johnston, Bruce Ricoh, Martin Peters and Ian Rush are also interested.

God we have had some top players play for us.

Just a shame we always got them when they were crap.

Don Givens ready to give it another crack, and I quote "felt I left under a cloud last time but I'm still up for the fight and I'm not afraid to step up and take a penalty when needed."

Max hasn't tweeted since February, unless he's opened another account.
