Tend to agree, it all seems a bit fishy.
That being said though didn't the Pigs announce that the Mamadov deal was off at 10pm on a Friday? Different I know but it's not completely impossible.

Still think this is bollocks though.

If you look very closely in the bottom right corner it says created @ twitterino.com

The signed would obviously be capitalised, and a picture would be attached ;)

My thoughts too, but there's a ridiculous amount of them, why have they all banded together for this one rumour? Concerned for their stability if that's the case

Someone on Twitter who knows Wilder has stated that he's asked CW and CW has said no. I trust this guys knowledge 100%. So either Wilder is bluffing a close mate or it's a load of bollocks. Think I'll go with the latter.

It's weird how nobody at the BBC or Sky apparently know about this, but a 'journalist' with 300 followers on Twitter has had it 'confirmed' by 'sources' innit?

Sky don't have many sources connected to us. Infact, you'd probably be more likely to have a source connected to us and an Halifax Town journalist than you would us and Sky.
 



It was the connection to Halifax that piqued my interest. Could be nothing, but there's enough potential there to offer at least a shred of credibility.

Seriously please stop getting your hopes up it's a very sad individual with multiple twitter accounts or a bunch of very sad individuals making shit up. Someone reliable and close to CW has asked him and he has said it isn't happening. Put it to bed, ignore the mongs and move on.

I can't for a minute believe this is realistically true but if it miraculously was then it would be the best signing any championship club makes this pre season.
The bloke was captaining England less than 2 years ago!

If I may ask, what is the difference to readers between you saying 'a mate of CW sez it int hapnin' and others saying 'sources say it's a done deal'?

Somebody will be right, of course. I'm just confused as to why you feel people should listen to you over those who say it's happening when it's all anonymous anyway.
 
With his age and stated desire to finish his career at BDTBL a predict this is a goer. Its also a start of a new career for him if the club want a player/coach trainee.

Told this story before but I'll re run it. I ran a youth football team for about 10 years. One year I booked the Exec suite at Lane on the proviso they would have a first team player to dish out the awards. The day of the event I got a phone call to say they had cocked up and no one was available from the first team but someone would be there for us. Two young lads Smith and Jags turned up. My son dashed up to him and asked for his autograph on his presentation booklet and Jags obliged and said this is weird I've never been asked for my autograph before, this is my first. The other player said to my son save that autograph he'll captain England one day.

So if anyone wants to bid on Jags first ever autograph......
