So is your definition someone taken on a free? Or simply a player that wasn't wanted at his old club?

Our squad is full of players who fit both categories. A couple more cast offs from the top of my head; Jake Wright and Mark Duffy.

Not saying Robinson will turn out for the best, but your snipe that 'taking cast offs has been unsuccessful' is quite frankly bullshit. We've had massively mixed results, but I'm more than prepared to trust Wilder on this.

And that McGoldrick bloke was a free, do we never learn.

Remember wasting £18K on that Deane from Donny.

Not bashing the signing at all - CWAK get the benefit of any doubt.

But people saying “JOC was a Brentford reserve” and “Coventry fans thought Fleck was shite” don’t factor in that new signings can no longer grow with us as we rise through the leagues. Our players do not look at all out of place in the top half of the PL, but they weren’t capable of that when we signed them - they had time to learn systems and develop while playing regular football in league one and the championship. The challenge for CWAK and players like Robinson is that they have to somehow get up to speed at a very high level with very limited game time.

Even though CWAK have worked some sort of miracle to lift Utd from the foot of L1 to actually competing for a European spot in 3.5 years and having an outstanding success rate with the players signed, including several that were signed in L1 and are now performing outstandingly well in the Prem, some people still feel they know best and see fit to criticise potential incomings.

If Robinson is deemed his enough by them and Paul Mitchell then he'll do for me.
