You can of course alternatively say things and not be willing to dig up said accusations when questioned on them. That's a better way to do business.

If a team plays poorly and gets beaten, then every fan base in the country will criticise their team and voice their feelings. Sheffield United’s support is no different, surprised it’s even a talking point. Look at the Leeds supporters at the moment, they have meltdowns when they draw a game.

They need to take accountability and put in decent performances, if the result doesn’t follow then our support will accept that…but we shouldn’t be expected to applaud half arsed, shit performances after spending money to watch them.

I don’t think anyone is saying you need to applaud them if you don’t think they’ve played well, what’s not very helpful is shouting gesticulating and swearing at the players when they come over to thank the fans after the game. If they’ve hacked you off by losing just go and get back on the coach and do some deep breathing to remember we are second in the table and still in the autos.
 
We've just come through two really high pressure games with two wins.
Saturday's result wasn't ideal but understandable, as the players are human and not robots.
We were unlikely to win every one of our remaining games.
Give Oxford their dues. A team scrapping for their survival, put in a decent performance.
Success is achieved by getting it right enough times to get the job done... not getting it right every time.
Our performances has still gained us the most points in the league (including two pints deduction).

Wilder has earned the right to say:
"Be consistent. If you want to come and wait for us to fail and abuse us, verbally and gesturing with abusive hand signals, give your ticket up to someone who wants to be there. Because there are loads of people who can’t get tickets who’d love the opportunity to back us."

We should be more like Saints fans after a record busting relegation.

No, it’s not helpful swearing at the players, but again, it happens at literally every football club. If they put in poor performances then the fans will let the players know - nature of the beast. It’s quite easily avoidable, they could put in 100% effort every game, which is what they should do anyway.
 
Wilder is quick to criticise the fans.

Twice this season at home (Burnley and Hull) after the final whistle he's been quick to run down the tunnel and not acknowledge the fans.

It would take a great deal for me to criticise our away support. That's not some sort of freebie they are on.

It's time Wilder grew up.

Game of opinions but I didn’t think they weren’t trying on Saturday. Why would they not try to win promotion? I thought they looked a bit jaded and Oxford were resolute and after getting the first goal were always going to sit back. Shit happens you can’t win every game. Luckily we don’t have to wait long for another opportunity to go again

I find social media criticism doesn't always transfer to real life in the stands on match day. One thing for sure is a rift between players and fans is the last thing we need at a critical point in the season.

My Sunday morning analysis ...was this and Chris mentioned it in the interview...we did'nt deal with the long throws,how would you deal with long throws which you know were going to be part of Oxfords game plan.....my solution would have been to play three at the back Anel Holding Robbo for this game only.

Well they clearly didn’t put in the same level of intensity as they did against Coventry…can you really put that down to Oxford? I’m not convinced. They’re towards the bottom of the table for a reason and players/manager needs to take accountability for not turning up, rather than have a pop at those who spent their time and money to watch them.
 
It was a bad result, people are going to be frustrated and upset.
Fans do get abit to emotional and can react poorly, but I'm not liking him calling out fans the way he has done.

The manager’s performance has been very good this season, though, as proven by our position. The expectation that we should win every game is ridiculous, it isn’t unheard of for a lower placed team to pull a win out of the bag. Every loss this season has been met with ridiculous levels of toy-throwing, on here and on Twitter.

As for Wilder choosing to say something, I suspect it’s an attempt to get the atmosphere ramped up on Tuesday.

Every criticism of Wilder or the play style has been greeted by digs at the fans too. The team plays close games, of course some will go the other way. I would hope he could see past the criticism of a few and accept that this job comes with unique 'customer interaction'. He gets plenty of adulation as well

They are customers who are ignorant to our roots and, in the main, spoilt by a hugely successful period of our club’s proud history. 85 points won, 6 from our deluded neighbours - anyone offered that in August would have taken it in a flash. So, you’re wrong because those who criticise are not supporters. To be so they’d have to stand by the team. You were never promised a rose garden….

Again, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I just don't think it's anyone's job to decide who the better supporter is

I for one cant belive that members of an away following show signs of unhappiness towards said football team they have spent hundreds of pounds to follow

Shame on anyone who showed any signs of disgruntlement 2000 loyalty points deducted and go straight to Jail

It appears CW cant play the there on 60k a week with big hitters card anymore especially against little old Oxford

So has to Create a siege mentality against his own fans who have done a 200+ Mile round trip

Honestly CW can get to Fuck with those comments he reckons blades fans should worship the ground he walks
