Shoreham Street - Til Death Us Do Part
Had David Weir not joined our club where would be be now? The players have to take some criticism for the performance at the beginning of the season, even more so when we see some level of capability from them now which shows they were firing on all cylinders from the off but.........David Weir has to now take a good luck at this and realize he got it all wrong. It has to be said, those over complicated silly tactics didn't work with the assets available to him. Systems, strategies, formations, positions call them whatever you want but they were all wrong as we all knew at the time but can all see even more so now.
Clough wasn't available back then obviously and the timing of Weir going and Derby sacking him probably worked out right for us all things said (even though we suffered for it and still could) but had we not appointed Weir and instead opted for a basic strategy, hard work pays off type of manager from the off I think we would now be sat mid table and above because on paper this isn't a bad squad for this level.
We massively underachieved.
