Can talk about intensity in our game lacking but I think there was also an eye on them countering too.
The are good at going from back to front so I think there was a bit of reluctance to commit too many forward at times too.

We weren't that bad, we had large spells of possession and had spells of pressure. But we didn't unlock them enough.

We have no god given right to win any match. Teams will feel they have to raise their game too because we are 2nd today Rotherham it's also a derby.

I dread to think how some fans would react had Rotherham won it. They had that chance in 1st half.

Just wanna prepare some people that we will probably play poor at least once before the seasons end and lose....
Yep like a lot of teams do, but 2nd in the champ' is not earned right now, we still need to secure it.

Absolutely.

It will be on us if we blow it.
Next game is always most important.

Optimism is not an issues with me, but how anyone can please tell me that the performance from the team and management today was good enough would be interesting to say the least?
Gonna have good & bad days between now & may. Todays not a bad day, they’ve got a good home record. The bad day was when we lost to them at home

Boro are in good form but we ain't bad either certainly results wise.

We need to just focus on us.

17 games can we pick up 30 or 32 points?
Less might even be enough.

If we picked up 30 points to put us on 88, which could be 10 wins or 9 wins 3 draws 5 defeats etc.

Boro would have to get 41 points from a possible 48 to better it.

I don't care what division we're in next season we have to move Osborn out this summer
I don't like getting on any players back. Osborn always tried and sometimes he is effective too.

But this summer he is out of contract anyway. As are quite a few.

Was just a scruffy derby game to me. Either team didn’t want to lose.we didn’t create nowhere near enough chances to win it. Fair play to Rotherham had a game plan and stuck to it. I’m not usually 1 to slate players but fuck me what did Osborn do all game? I think we’d have played better with 10 men on the pitch without him he just looks lost it’s also having an effect on Norwoods game the Midfield just looks Disjointed with him there. Hopefully flecks back soon so sander can play just in the hole behind the front 2.I just can’t put me finger on why since the World Cup we’ve been playing with the Handbrake half on perhaps it’s the quality of opponents we’ve played? February is going to be a real test with the teams we’re playing so hopefully the performances come back wins keep coming and get us back to we’re every Blades want to be. (Match of the day Saturday night)

It was shite. The sky sports highlights are 1 min 3 seconds long. One of the highlights is a replay and another is 2 replays of the same header. That's how bad it was.

We're still in an incredible position but sooner rather than later these results will catch up on our performances.

When was the last time we were actually convincing?

Playing a physical direct Rotherham team in a derby who are scrapping to stay up.

Also Rotherham got a point at Watford last week and thrashed Blackburn.
Exactly this⬆️...Millers have been putting a shift in recently to pull away from wrong end of table.

I like him, he speaks well and he reads books and shit but fuck me it was like bringing on an extra player when McAtee came on today.
I listened to his interview and he does talk well. Clearly a nice guy.

Just not good enough. I don't know his nrole amd I'm not sure he does either.

The problem he’s got is that he can play a couple of positions but he’s not even second choice in either of them.

He’s an okay full back bur struggles with diagonal balls and doesnt offer us enough going forward.

I prefer him in midfield but he’s only ever a steady 6/10 there really. I know people take the piss but he gives you everything and never stops running but that’s not enough to get you a run of games at this level.

Even if he knew his role he wouldnt be able to execute it. He has no attributes apart from hes left footed. Weak as piss, not quick, cant beat a man, cant cross but runs around a bit. Poor mans Montgomery and he was wank 🤣

I was getting so pissed off with the amount of times a Rotherham player either easily dispossessed him or just swatted him away like a fly as they ran past him.
Seems a nice lad, tries his best but he just doesn't have the physicality or ability to be a CM in the Championship.

Lets be reight its not for the first time either. Incriminating Polaroids of Heckingbottom is my only answer.

Missing Osula? How many starts has he made? Missing Brewster? Comedy comment.
They’re all missing from the squad? Ie once they’re back we have more options…what part of that is incorrect?

I also said we need more quality next season, however, we’re stuck with what we’ve got now until then.

The initial comment was that we need more options because we’re down to just McBurnie & Sharp. Once them 3 are back do we have more options yes or no?

Braindead response.

Of course once them 3 are back we have more options.
But what kind of options?
Osula, virtually unknown quality. Brewster, known quality of, what is it, five goals in three seasons. Jebbison, has the makings of something, hopefully ,maybe, another Brian Deane, maybe.
Optimism is a good thing. And I hope you are right. We do need a goal scorer. Of the three imho Jebbison could be the answer. Only time will tell.

What's more worrying for me, is that PH thinks we're doing/playing ok. We aren't. If he thinks we can continue grinding out points and maintaining a 10+pts gap from now til the end of the season playing hot potato ball, then he's a complete moron.

He still thinks we're playing the fast-paced, front-footed football of the past. In truth, we haven't played well since what, Blackburn?

Nearly every first touch agains Rotherham was an aimless punt forward or a header to nowhere. No composure, no control, no cohesion. And it's been like that for weeks if not months. And while PH thinks we're doing ok, we'll continue to be this shite until Middlesbro, Luton and Watford catch us. Every post match interview, he's been satisfied with performances. with quotes like 'We just needed to get over the line', and 'It was never going to be easy', 'We expected it to be a scrap', its not going to change.

P.S. Osborne can F right off.
