Whilst I agree in part with the sentiment, your statement strengthens the idea that many people overuse the word 'woke' without really understanding what it means. You've misused it yourself here.

Postponing the football fixtures as a mark of respect to a dead monarch is a pretty conservative decision.

Getting refunds on train tickets because the footy is cancelled is difficult. You've bought a ticket to Plymouth on the train. The football to network rail is irrelevant. And it ain't cheap to Plymouth either.

As much as I can understand postponing football, I don't think much wider thought has gone into it.

There is absolutely zero correlation between me going to a football match and not showing respect to the Queen none zero the two things have nothing to o with each other

There is plenty of correlation though between the football authorities showing football fans zero respect and taking the p@@@ out of fans who have spent hundreds of pounds during a cost of living crisis which may now be non-refundable

Could do. But I suspect the train times will be very early. Would you get up at 5 to go to Plymouth on the piss? I wouldn't. Paid for or otherwise. It happened to us in the PL for covid at Newcastle. I had train and match tickets. As it's near on, I still went for the day. I wouldn't go to Plymouth though.
