Is our tide finally turning? A good read in the Telegraph

It certainly looks that way mate. Sunday was unbelievable, but once the joy of that result died away all thoughts turned to last night's match. I stayed in touch for the entire game, and from all accounts we put in another disciplined performance. By all accounts a deserved win and three invaluable points for the mighty Blades. Considering our see-saw fortunes, if we beat Bristol on Saturday this could be one of the best weeks we've had for ages.

I was like many on here last night when the team was announced, disappointed to have some of our more creative talent sitting on the bench, but hey ho, what do I know? Cloughie came up with another stroke of managerial nous to set us up for the night's football, plus a clean sheet, can't be bad. Harry got a yellow, so just one booking away from suspension which I hope he manages to avoid. He's in a good run of form at the moment, so take care Harry.

Wow, I've never seen Biggs before. Now that's a face for Radio!

Doesn't say anything I haven't been thinking since very soon after Clough arrived. It's taken longer than I thought, and there are still things like Crewe that are almost unexplainable, but it's certainly heading in the right direction now.
The oil tanker has begun to enter it's turning circle.

Understand what Clough did last night and it worked. Scougall wasn't going to have the impact on a shit pitch against thugs that he will elsewhere. Horses for courses and all that.

With regards the article its a little over the top. I remember the excitement up to the last minute with play offs under Blackwell (we did get to within touching distance there) and also Wilsons first season was excellent until the ultimately horrible end.

But where I do agree is perhaps we have bottomed out. The cup run (although some suggest otherwise) has been a breathe of fresh air around the place. We like nothing more than being the under dog. We are good at it and so it has proved. The form is hopefully going to transfer itself to the league and we finally have a manager who is actually capable in my opinion of taking us up. Not just to the next level but the one beyond that.

All the above said however we are still in a precarious position and a couple of bad results sticks us right back in the shit. I applaud Clough for starting to extract us from this horrible mess McCabe and a cast of others put us in, but we aren't quite out the sticky stuff just yet.
