That we may be without our manager and our talismanic captain at the Sty next week?

We are Blades, we just get on with it. I expect a full on 100% commitment from both sides and lots of incidents on the pitch.

Had this been September last season, then possibly. However, we have the personnel on and off the field to more than cope with Wilder being in away end leading the chants. I hope he can get a ticket

What difference does it make having the manager on the touchline? I remember Roy Keane saying that he never shouted orders/instructions from the pitch because no one listened or could hear what was being said and he took no notice of this when he was a player.

Id fancy us if we played with 5 pairs of players tied together like a three legged race against the unclean and Reed in goal

Don't worry...be happy.

Whoever plays will give their all, no doubt about that. It's a shame we won't be able to pit our best team against them but ,hey ho, that's life.
We can't change it so we go with what we've got

Sharp will play and people are forgetting that Alan Knill will be there relaying all of Wilders instructions.

My only concern is that Wilder will get his ban extended when he runs onto the pitch thumping his United badge and telling the Pig fans to get fucked as they leave the ground to go home to their fat wives and below-national-average-intelligence kids after they lose.

CW in the stand won't make any difference to how the players set up and perform

My concern is our lack of fire power

Even if all our strikers were fit, we have the numbers, but we lack the quality

At the moment, it looks like we have two strikers that can put the ball in the net.

They get an injury and kerputt

I hope CW has a little more luck next transfer deadline day

Any updates on Sharpe, Clarke and Donaldson?

The only official updates will be, 'not likely to start' 'touch and go' 'waiting on a couple, too early to tell' 'not looking promising' then all change by the time the team sheets go in!

Don't think it matters too much if Wilder is in the stand. But I would be very concerned if neither Donaldson or Sharp are back. The lack of ambition in the transfer window is already hurting us and it was blatantly obvious we needed to bring two decent strikers in.

Yes, wish we'd brought a striker in.

I'm worried , we can't start with Evans and Brooks up to against them cunts. It looks like Billy's going to miss the game from what I've been told . A torn stomach muscle is at least around 6 weeks out and tbh if CD was close to fitness he would have been on the bench yesterday

As good as Wilder is I don't actually think that his presence

I see where you are coming from but from what I have seen the Pigs only have 2 strikers who can put the ball in the net as well, Hooper & Fletcher, and jug ears rarely plays 90 minutes.

Worried? Not so much - more frustrated.

I'd be worried if we were clueless. I'm frustrated because we have our togetherness, we have our way that we want to play, and we've been successful. We're deserving league one champions after a record breaking season, with a Blade as manager and a Blade as top scorer and our captain. We could really, really give the pigs a game. And they know it.

A year of fantastic form, brilliant performances and few injuries and suspensions and then the week before the pigs, the chance to play them off the park, to quash all their bullshit of La Liga and the need to spend big to survive, the chance to show that our squad built on a comparative shoestring budget is every bit as good as theirs, and best laid plans all go out of the window a little. Several first teamers are injured, the manager (understandably) loses his wrag in the game before to underhand, despicable tactics (no one will feel more disappointed than Wilder himself) and we're having to try and improvise and be ready in time. Improvise, after a year of rarely if ever having done that. After a year of a settled side. After a year of playing teams off the park. It isn't getting excuses in early, far from it.

Because with a settled side we could give the pigs a game, and they know it.

UTB!

I may well stand corrected but I think both Sharp and Donaldson will play at least some part next week.

I'm not worried about next week. The same amount of points are on offer as yesterday. If we lose they only go 1 above us, and we're still close to the play off spots coming to the 10 game mark. I'd have happily taken that if offered on day 1.

I don't know what happened between Thursday and Saturday but in Wilders interview about the Norwich game when he was asked about injuries he said,Clayton and Samir were close and other than a few bumps and bruises there was nothing to worry about !!!
