The get your realistic bids in early rebuild transfer plan brings forward results?

Nope, more like the realisation that....... we put all our eggs in one basket that hasn't come off so we will now be scratching around for other options that will lead nowhere so we will wait till the loan window opens day...

One basket being O'Grady, the Beard and GMS?

Officially just GMS Swiss as there has been no official confirmation of any bids or activity regarding the other two
I don't think United have stated that we've made an official bid for GMS either.

I think the only one that Clough has actually spoken of publicly is the desire to get O'Grady back permanently but Brighton need to buy another striker first

So does all that mean no eggs in no baskets if we're talking official confirmation

Jimbob has stated on Facebook Swiss that we had made one bid and it was less than the £80k quoted by someone in the media/twitter. Whether there has been a second bid since, I don't know.

He went to say that we have to start somewhere and to trust them to do their job. (Words to that effect)

Does that count as official? It wasn't on sky sports news... ;)

I was basically twisting what Torrix1889 said that we'd just made the one official bid which was for gms.

United don't like to make our business public until the deal is finalised, which surprises me that Jim is talking us through the bids made.

We all know we'll leave it to the last minute and perhaps get one of our targets. Personally I hope it's O'grady or the beard as they're proven in this division and will hit the ground running. GMS is going to need some time to settle/ adjust and he wears gloves which suggests he's a bit soft

By the sound of it the only thing that's official is that we are at the back of the queue and in disarray

You ever played in Dundee?

I used to go running after work in Kazakhstan, coldest it got to was -14. It got colder but we didn't have crampons to run on snow and ice! We wore gloves there...

Hottest I've done is +45 in Qatar.... I ran about a yard before getting dehydrated...

I suffer from that as well.

Still not Dundee. Even when the temperature says it is plus the wind chill makes it minus.

Still early days, but there's a distinct aroma floating around of same shit different day

Come on, make it happen board

I hope we are not going to end up with last minute.com loan signings.

Then more crap about the Fax machine being on fire hence why we did not sign anyone permanently.

Apparently Jimbob says there's movement in the transfer market after the MK game

Problem is tho, he didn't say whether it was in or out :D

More likely to be a bowel movement.

I'll just leave this here as a bookmark to be returned to at the end of the window.
