Bladesman
The Great Grumbleduke
It'll be interesting to hear this morning's update on the remaining injuries.
Seriki, Moore, Hamer & Cannon.
The first two should be available this month I think?
Don't forget Shackleton.

Where I sit on the south stand was pretty much next to the pitch line where Gus pulled his hamstring. I couldn’t believe he carried on with it.
He went down after a tackle and Burrows turned to Wilder and said he’s pulled up. You could tell after that he was struggling to sprint but seemed ok when he was jogging.
Strange one really, the usual theme with hamstrings is they pull and they’re out for a few weeks but he carried on.
I’m not sure I buy the ‘he came off due to a fatigue injury’ he pulled it in the first 20-30 mins.

If it was a big risk e would have been subbed earlier we all know what can happen with hamstrings.Reading a few player autobiographies recently, Hodgy, TC, Paddy Kenny, one constant theme is how often players play with injuries, sometimes relatively severe injuries.
Wilder has mentioned a few times that Hamer is playing with a tight hamstring, but that seems different from a full on pulled hamstring (I've done that, and it's hard to limp, never mind jog).
There was another game recently where Gus came off early, and it looked bad as he hobbled round the touchline, but he was in the team for the next game.
Campbell - even when he was scoring - was playing with a back "issue", he could get through parts of games, but it needed managing.
Then there was Moore, playing with a hernia.
There's all sorts going on behind the scenes we don't know about.
It's a bit of a concern that even with Gus's suspension and a couple of games out he's not had chance to rest and recover fully, and you do wonder if he'll eventually be forced out for a protracted period.
That said, the medical team around Wilder have always seenmed to be at the top of their game. So maybe he'll make it through.

On the TV footage you could clearly see Hamer saying it was his "hammy." Definitely not a "fatigue injury."
I suspect he could be out for a little while now. Daft leaving him on.
On the bright side, we do have some squad depth now, but Hamer is a bit ‘special’ innit? I hope he is ok!Reading a few player autobiographies recently, Hodgy, TC, Paddy Kenny, one constant theme is how often players play with injuries, sometimes relatively severe injuries.

The one thing i was pleasantly surprised about is that deep heat is used by professional athletes. I thought they’d have access to something slightly betterOn the TV footage you could clearly see Hamer saying it was his "hammy." Definitely not a "fatigue injury."

Wilder said if His and Cannon don't play tomorrow then they should be good for leeds
You dont say.!On the TV footage you could clearly see Hamer saying it was his "hammy." Definitely not a "fatigue injury."

In the Hecky promotion season, didn't McBurnie play for half the season with a hernia? Then got surgery and lost form afterwards. Then there was Moore, playing with a hernia.

Plus a couple of paracetamols. That and Lucozade can cure all ills.
Who said he came off due to a fatigue injury? Wilder said it was flagged up early in the game when he first went down (ie. the injury was flagged up). Even Hamer in his post-match interview said he felt his hammy but the medical team are good here and he trusts them and they let him play on. I don’t think anyone is hiding from it being an issue with his hamstring but given the medical team left him on I’d be pretty surprised, and it would be a massive screw up, if it ends up being something serious which keeps him out for multiple games.Where I sit on the south stand was pretty much next to the pitch line where Gus pulled his hamstring. People on the forum. The way I worded it made it look like a wilder quote which wasn’t correct as you pointed out.Who said he came off due to a fatigue injury?
