Guesses revised following the latest media-round, inc. photos of Ahmedhodzic and Fleck at training (moved their timelines forward) and the unfortunate injuries picked up by Sander Berge and George Baldock in the midweek defeat to QPR.
Have also moved Jack Robinson's return date forward as PH mentioned he is slightly ahead of the other long-termers.

Despite previous concerns, Oli McBurnie and Oli Norwood did play against QPR so they drop off the list (though the former has picked up a one-game suspension and is unavailable for the Stoke City (a) game this Saturday).

G Baldock - missing for Stoke (at least) - oblique strain (?)

S Berge - missing for Stoke (at least), awaiting MRI results - knee

A Ahmedhodzic - mid-October 2022 (3 weeks) - thigh

J Fleck - mid-October 2022 (2 months) - broken leg

J Robinson - late-October 2022 (4 months) - knee ligaments

B Osborn - November 2022 (4 months) - hamstring / ankle

C Clark - November 2022 (3 months) - hamstring

E Stevens - November 2022 (3 months) - hamstring

M Lowe - January 2023 (4 months) - hamstring

I Coulibaly - February 2023 (6 months) - knee ligaments

J O'Connell - unlikely to return.

georgebernardshaw - this one's for you.

Osborn seems to be close according to stir

It's coming to something when I can't wait for Ben Osborn to be back and available for selection.

Any of Clark, Robinson or Osborn would be a God-send to give us some balance.
Osborn is probably the one we need the least. I know he can cover LWB but it would be better to have the specialists in.

He'd play Osborn as a no.10 or RCB though, the lad is a LB or LWB, shouldn't be played anywhere else.

Osborn at LWB with RND staying at LCB seems like a dream at minute 😩🤣 I'm even pushing it here saying Stevens at LWB would be welcomed.

I think in a few weeks we'll have 5 out providing no one else gets injured & providing Berge's injury isn't too bad. Clark is a strange one, 2 weeks out has turned into nearly 2 months? Stevens needs paying off

By all accounts they stepped up his training in preparation for a return and the hamstring went again (Clark), so the timeline went from 6 weeks to probably more like 12.
I'm not sure why we ever pretended it would be a week or two, hamstring injuries never are.

Without doing too much of a deep dive into how many of our injuries are muscle vs contact, it's clear we're getting something very wrong in terms of our squad management and training methods.
PH has done a fantastic job since he took charge but, given he has previous on this front, it is a concern. The numbers on this list rarely drop, with returnees being replaced by newly injured players.

We're now in a situation where our XI is badly impacted. It then becomes a perpetuating problem because you have to flog the players that are fit, increasing their chance of injury.

This World Cup break is perfect for us. It's crucial we get to it in reasonable health and then use the four weeks to rest and bring some bodies back.

That injury list is pretty horrendous.
And it's been like that for nearly 2 seasons.

Something is badly wrong with our training and preparation methods.

Is anything being done in the background about this? Sports science, fitness gurus etc?

It can’t come soon enough! We just need to try and stay within the top 2 over the next 10 games before the break

With where the squad is I think top two is too tall of an order over the next few weeks.
If we can stay top six, within half a dozen points and incur no further injuries then I'll be content.

You'd feel with a full squad to choose from in December (barring perhaps Lowe and Coulibaly) that we should have too much for most sidea in the division and begin to make the ground back up quite quickly.

Our big strength at the start of this season, was a choice of up to 5 replacements from a quality bench. It kept opposition players and managers guessing.

Injuries seems to have undermined that strong point, to the extent we are struggling for a cohesive starting XI!

I feel as CaptainMorgans says it's realistic to expect us to be in the top 6 when we break for the world cup. Top 2, especially since other teams have picked up form, would seem unlikely with these injuries.

I agree, knowing how our fans works it’s going to be tough for them to stay patient during that period

This is now just getting fkin ridiculous

Berge, Baldock and fkin Bogle again

It’s getting to be a case of can we avoid an injury in todays game, to I wonder how many will be injured in todays game?

Our team with no injuries is extremely strong, our second 11 is good. I can’t believe the position we’re in. We’re 4/5 more injuries away from playing our youth team

Bogle has a bit of a knock. So that is him out til next Christmas.

A good chance any of us might get a game at this rate.

There is just no way all of these injuries are just bad luck. Something is going seriously wrong at the club. Whether that's the training facilities, the conditioning, the sports science - I don't know.

We seem to be risking a lot of players with knocks which is making the situation worse. Why did Baldock even come out for the second half on Tuesday, for example?

As everyone says, 12 injuries J's just fucking ridiculous.

Whether training or bad luck those football God can just fuck themselves.

Even today post and out, hits keeper and bobbles up rather than goes in. Their lost and in.

If there's any justice in the world, Lamarr, then we win this 3 or 4 to 2.

You can blame injuries all you like but bar Gordon they are all players who would be starting or subbed on

Just bang average atm

Genuine question, is there any rule about having so many players out due to injuries to postpone games like the covid situation? If you named a 25 man squad and only say 9 could play do you just have to rely on your reserves?

Any team can have an injury crisis at any given point but so many out over such a prolonged period, with a merry go round for most, suggests its not just bad luck.

I've never known anything like it before in my 40 plus years following us. And with the advanced sports science today too.
