Injuries

Well Davies and Bogle should be on the bench Saturday which is a big big boost. If there's no other returns it leaves just the 9 unavailable.

Look forward to Heckys interview tomorrow.

Delighted Bogle appears to be on the verge of a full return. Likewise Billy. Not wishing to sound churlish but given the countless others unavailable I'll swap a Davies for any left sided player all day long. He's irrelevant in truth.

….doubtless you’ll be providing yet another injury report afterwards?

No worries, Mr. Cool.
I know you're anxious for it, so here it is...

O Norwood - didn't train, reason unknown.

O McBurnie - early October 2022 (2 weeks) - groin

A Ahmedhodzic - late October 2022 (1 month) - thigh

J Robinson - November 2022 (4 months) - knee ligaments

B Osborn - November 2022 (4 months) - hamstring / ankle

C Clark - November 2022 (3 months) - hamstring

E Stevens - November 2022 (3 months) - hamstring

J Fleck - December 2022 (4 months) - broken leg

M Lowe - January 2023 (4 months) - hamstring

I Coulibaly - February 2023 (6 months) - knee ligaments

J O'Connell - unlikely to return.

Revised guestimates following the international break & PH's latest press conference.

As expected, we have some returnees following the international break.
These come in the form of Jayden Bogle, Billy Sharp and Adam Davies.
Useful, but all in relatively low-priority areas when you consider the crisis we have on the left-hand-side of the pitch.

Unfortunately Ahmedhodzic and McBurnie make their way onto the list, as does Norwood who didn't appear to be training (reason unknown, hopefully not injury related).

When asked if anyone else was close to returning, PH gave a firm "No."
So, no movement on the timelines for our 8 no. left sided absentees.

11 games coming up in the next 6 weeks.
We then move into a 4 week break for the World Cup where our only representatives are likely to be Norrington-Davies (Wales) & Iliman Ndiaye (Senegal) - (correct me if I'm wrong).
Lets hope we can muddle through this period and get some bodies back.

Fucking hell!!..

Didn't realise Norwood and McBurnie were worries. Bring on the world Cup!

It was reported McBurnie had a groin strain after the PNE game and would be "out" for a couple of weeks.
Those two weeks have passed and he appeared in the training video the club released, so odds are he'll be available on Saturday - but we may choose to not start him.

As for Norwood, he didn't appear in the training video. Could be anything. Losing him would be a disaster with the season he's having and the lack of options (Berge doesn't suit the role).

Fleck has a broken leg? How did I miss that??

Its not a "proper" broken leg, like snapped in half broken. Its more a fracture type break which heals pretty quick. Cant remember if it was an impact injury from training

Fleck got injured in the match with Blackburn.

Hecky says Fleck should be back before the World Cup.

If you're going off this article, I didn't take the additional scans as cause for concern.
It looks like PH confirmed McCall's comments that they're all approx. 5 weeks off...
The additional scans, I would guess, are precautionary to see how the healing process is going...

I'm delighted he's back earlier than I guessed.
I'm not embarrassed that my guess was wrong, as it was just a guess... as advised..

You've got a very strange problem with this whole concept.
It's a bit embarrassing.
It's just someone trying to keep a log of our lengthy injury list. Get over it.

Aka, he was never injured, they didn't want to risk him, and he didn't either.
