Simple question. Do you think United will make a profit this year if we finish let’s say mid table?
I think it’s hard for any football club to make a profit…

the danger we have is not finishing mid-table and taking a double drop.

I hope to be proven drastically wrong

Nothing better on the right day, and with the right pub in mind for lunch.
And depending on where you ramble , you can see the debris from a plane-crash - mind you , there's one happening at the Lane right now , metaphorically speaking.

That "big pot of money" received for Ramsdale went 60% of the way to filling the big hole left by relegation. Our income in 19/20 was £130m. In 21/22 it'll be around half of that. Some is clawed back through relegation wage reduction clauses (say £25m) but we still need to find the rest.

Surely that's what parachute payments help to cover? How have every other club who have been relegated still gone on to sign players the following year (without a £24m boost via a sale as well)? We're not asking to be spending millions, but surely the club can afford a few loans.

‘Calm your tits’ - one of the most sexist comments ever made … but you do you that’s all anyone can expect from you.

In this gender fluid world sperm providers can have tits too. Calm your tits can apply to everyone.

Parachute payments are designed to soften the blow of £100m+ in TV money suddenly becoming £7m.

Almost every club relegated from the PL has sold or released players to bridge the gap. Last season Norwich did (Godrey/Lewis for £40m), Bournemouth did (Ramsdale, Aké & Wilson for £75m) & Watford did (Doucouré, Estupiñán & Súarez for £40m). This season West Brom have (Pereira £20m, lots of expensive loanees returned), Fulham have (almost an entire team of loanees returned) and we are in the process (Ramsdale £30m).

The issue we have is that we've only been able to sell Ramsdale despite, I would imagine, some significant efforts to shift some of the other high earners. The issue we have is that outside the core of the squad the players just aren't very good and no-one wants them, meaning we're stuck with them both in terms of paying them (no wages available for incoming players) and not getting any transfer income.

So what money is he syphoning off? If he wanted to make a quick profit he would have sold it the second he bought the 50% off McCabe.

Every club has to be run within its owners means otherwise you end up like that shower of shit down the road.

Recruitment has been awful this window with the lack of incomings which is ultimately the princes fault but to say he’s syphoning money out of the club is way off the mark.

That's simply not true. Every club have had significant sales to prop up their losses, and it's worth noting none of them had a season with no crowd revenue the previous season to deal with as well.

But where's 20/21 🤔🤣

"We were talking about positions 2 months ago and names 1 month ago. We are now in a really short period and we need to be serious and make it our job."

Carl Schiebers negotiating techniques with Manchester United for a young loanee. He's the one on the right 😀.

It's not though is it. And if that's all you took from my post then it further reinforced the point I was making - you're over reacting and coming up with nonsense for no reason at all.
Ok - but our manger also sounds quite alarmed today - is he overreacting?

We will see in the end.. hope I’m wrong … but I see minimal investment over last 12 months

My daughter in law and all her female work colleagues use it all the time. Is it sexist only if a man says it? Not picking a fight just curious
I wouldn’t know - but it’s a sexist remark - that as far as I’m concerned makes women out to be somehow panicky when compared to men - you think what you like it’s a free world

I’m not judging your views mate nor necessarily disagreeing I’m just confused when stuff like this is ok and when not. I don’t use the phrase myself but given the only people I’ve ever heard use it have been women to other women I’m not sure who is being offended by it.
