The last sort of player we need is injury prone and just been released on a free. No potential there, not even Wilder could turn that into an International star.

I'd say there's as much chance of Dean Hammond pulling on a Utd shirt again as there is of Duffy returning.

With Freeman unable to force his way into the team, Duffy wouldn't be in the 18 either but at least he'd be sat watching Utd compete in the Prem than Stoke lose to everyone.

His actions must surely go down as some of the most stupid ever associated with the club (up there with appointing Charles Green and Bryan Robson). What a silly, silly boy
 
If our current form continues throughout the festive period and we remain roughly where we are now in the table, I think it gives us a nice dilemma.
I would have expected us to be shopping in the Championship/other Prem team's reserve players - but I think we're within our right to raise our expectations a little.
We should be looking to improve our first 11, rather than strengthening squad depth.
Players from lower placed Prem teams, top flight Euro leagues and highly rated youngsters (ala Bowen) should all be on our radar now
 
I like the look of Ismaila Saar of Watford. Young ,pacy, well-ballanced with an eye for goal. Cost Watford £25m. but if they go down might be a chance of getting him. Nationality Senegal. ( like Mousset`s Father.)
 
Might be tempted with a cheeky bid for Assombalonga, he’s still managing about a goal in three despite having some injuries and woeful management, Boro might be keen to cash in where money is clearly tight and L1 looks a possibility, we need cover for Mousset, and I reckon CWAK would be able to improve him he’s got strength, pace and an eye for goal
 
We should be looking at Europe really. If Moose and Mahrez came from Le Havre, see who else they have in that division.

Championship teams want to be Premier League teams and will ask for PL fees unless they really need the money.

We spent 20mil in the summer for a player currently sat on the bench every week as cover for moose at the minute

If he was never going to be in the 18, I'd argue it was a.decent decision to leave.

Haha I get what you're saying but surely it would be better to not play for Utd than not play for Stoke.

However, being honest he's not Prem class so a move for him last summer was probably what he needed to do - it's just a shame it hasn't worked out for him. He'll be back in L1 this time next year.

We can't just pluck out names that happen to score a lot this season. We need hunger and desire more than ever but we also need players that's going to suit our system.
Welbeck? Mitrovic? Really?
 



If his temperament is right
I think Kamara at Fulham would be worth a punt as a squad / Moose back up
Strong and pacy their second choice so should not be too exspensive

McGinn would cost a fortune, probably already on more money than any of our players and previously linked with Man U. Might as well say ‘we should sign Koulibaly, he’s good’.

Phillips looks decent but I think Man U and others are looking at him.

Don't know much about Browne (Preston) and Brownhill (Bristol C) but always hear good things about those too.

Then some attacking flair:

Unless we’re on 40 points by the end of the JTW, that would be a foolish idea. Fortunately CW will remember vividly the post-Arsenal complacency of the Warnock season.
