It's in reference to whatever it is in their brains that desensitises them from the horrific things that happen there even in the open street. If observing this apparent inherently inhumane mindset makes me a 'racist' in the eyes of the precious angels then I couldn't care less.

It's the government that are responsible imho not the people, though groupthink leads to that sort of thing being acceptable.

I'm old enough to remember Trump being called racist for closing the border to the Chinese then EU countries are now doing the same thing weeks later when it's too late.

Yeah, they obviously don't give a fuck. It's ingrained in the people and it's easier for them to let it stay that way.

I agree with you, but what are they supposed to? If they rebel they get shot. Like the doctors in Wuhan who tried to make people aware of this thing back in December.

It's ok though because Joe Biden says that China isn't a problem. Trump has tried to take them on but made silly overtures to President Xi. Nixon made a great mistake all those years ago with detente. Though easy for me to say I know.

Fucking send a complaint then, like you do for everything else. ❄

Me saying that probably upsets you more than the torture all those different animals endure every day over there doesn't it? It needs addressing. It's fucked up. They are fucked up. Now they've fucked us all maybe there's a small chance it will be addressed.
I was on a business trip to Dalyan (northwest China, same latitude as Pyongyang N Korea) the CEO of the company I was dealing with took me to a restaurant and ordered his 'usual', it consisted of a starter dish of dog, which I Was told was 'traditional' and would be frowned upon if I refused to partake. When we left, we saw two dogs shagging in the street, he laughed and said,'next years dinner'.
It then pissed it down, raining bats and dogs I thought to myself.

Worst case scenario, play behind closed doors. I don't see why they couldn't do that. Would be a very sad end to the season but ending the season is what matters most.
I think this would be a good solution, providing they made all matches free to view online or any of the TV channels

Not to be picky but behind closed doors does ruin home advantage.

I don't see why we can't just push back next season and start it in January say.

The left won't criticize China as that would be racist. *

Look how they react when it's called the Wuhan virus.

* A touch strong, but imagine if Trump governed the USA the same way Xi governs China

Fair point, no problem with criticising Xi, but calling a nation of people defective is a few steps too far.

Sorry if I'm behind the curve with this, but wouldn't it be possible to show games live on big screens. It would be a long way from ideal but at least it might offer a solution.

Everybody involved could be tested before and after every game. With only the essential staff involved.

And in any case there should be a loud and clear message to distance themselves from any already doomed vulnerable people.

Anyone die at Castleford today?

Just asking.

No other option, they must finish this season, even if it meant no League season for 20-21.....could be just a few regional competitions or cup games..
I agree finish this seadon at the expense of next season.

Next season play the league and FA cups and in the league play each team only once, draw from the hat for who is at home.
Any good?

When you put yourselves in Leeds' shoes for example, there is simply no way voiding the season can be an option.

Or Liverpool, or us, or Brentford, or Coventry, or Rotherham, or Barrow, or plenty of other clubs.

We have to find a way to finish the league seasons however long it takes.

I've never considered myself a conspiracy theorist but I can't stop thinking about that young healthy looking doctor that died of the virus who was apparently trying to expose stuff 🤔

Ask yourself who benefits from all of this. Who controls the supply chains?

This virus is the best thing that has ever happened to the Chinese government.

Not in every case;)

For next season we could just halve it to twenty games and have every game in a neutral venue splitting attendances. So we'd play Manchester United at Elland Road for exampl.

Would enable us to finish this season properly. Less games = more demand for those games, so when they take place people will be prepared to pay more money keeping the clubs afloat and tickets will sell out like hot cakes. And everyone else can pay a subscription for one off games and they are all broadcast live.

It’s bit late the day to be looking at blame for this. Different countries will have to develop their responses based on knowledge, understanding and resources. The response in 3rd world and developing countries will be different, even between western countries like UK and USA, standards and responses will differ.
The UK solution is tailored to our needs and available resources. Africa, Europe, Asia and North America are all in different scenarios based on what I describe above.
The virus could yet mutate and cause further problems. No one knows for definite what will work best, but the different regimes and different options will have different results.
It’s possible that most of Europe and UK could be virus free by 1 October 2020. What if people in Italy and Spain are still infected and dying.
The challenge today, is to eradicate the virus in UK first, then plan limited reintroduction for sports and entertainment events.
Maybe the English leagues can play out the rest of the season, but Euro club competitions could still be under sanction.
These are the most likely scenarios with the current UK system, disease peaking in 10 - 14 weeks, with another 12 weeks to eradicate it. The UK will probably be able to resume activity in October this year. That’s the best you can hope for.
Others can resume when the battle is over depending on their response.

This is simple guesswork based on current facts, knowledge and understanding by me. Take it or leave it.

There was a post on FB yesterday where some imbecile admitted that he had no expertise whatsoever on the subject of Covid 19 but he had spent “hours” reading about it online and he could definitely state that the Chief Medical Officers statements and strategy were wrong.

No wonder the worlds fucked. Instead of shutting pubs, shut the internet.

My apologies for assuming that different country’s might have different responses to the virus. 🤷‍♂️😊
