I really want Weir and his system to work. I want Sheffield United to play attractive, passing football. I can see that he has an eye for a good player, and has brought in two fantastic midfielders in Baxter and Cuvelier.

I'm willing to give Weir a chance. Another month. Only if he can go out and get 2 decent strikers this week (Ebanks-Blake anyone?) and give a press conference like this:

Weir is making the biggest mistake of his life - he is being stubborn. He will regret it later. I expect he'll blame the players.

He picks the team, he motivates the team, he chooses the tactics, the only thing he doesn't do is play.

Bassett had a croc of crap but he made them a good side. Warnock hardly had a dream team, but he produced the 2002/3 side and eventually got us up. Wilson got last season's side virtually to the play offs without Ched Evans or Quinn. Stop blaming the players!
