Monty were quality at the role he were asked to do. Break up play, play simple passes. One of his goals were an absolute peach too so for that he’s not on my list.Montgomery no contest
BSMontgomery no contest
Kozluk held his own in the prem. Not even close.Prepared to get pelted for this, and I love the guy but shout out for Rob Kosluk, if Monty is getting put forward then Kosluk should be also.
I always used to say that Quinn had to undo anything really good he’d done by immediately doing something really bad. I think we missed him when he left but he got some stick when he played. I reckon I used to sit next to his biggest fan, he used to go nuts if anyone questioned anything he’d done. His hoofed hooked ball over his right shoulder was the bain of watching sheff united for a while. No composure but lets get up the field, majority on this forum could do that. Suppose some of us have a low barometer on what a footballer should offer
Hoddle was unfortunate that the player competing for his spot was Gazza. He was a bit of a knob tooWhat about Micky Mills, Paul Mariner Phil Neal who all played for England just short of 100 times.
Glenn Hoddle 56 caps = criminal
Bonnie Langford?!Bonny Ford.
Haha fucking typos!Bonnie Langford?!
Bonnie Langford would have probably played better!Bonnie Langford?!
I said at the beginning of that season that he would cost us points I won’t blame him for the spot kick though albeit I did hear that the ball is on the same trajectory as Colin West’s penaltyCorrect answer. My unprovable belief is that with a quality keeper we quite likely don’t end up in league 1 to begin with, and absolutely get promoted at the first attempt.
Goalies are so important.
I remember seeing Bobby Ford in a nightclub on a night out. We must have been around 16 at the time and there were a few Blades in the group, we got thrown out for singing “Ohhhh Bobby Ford” for about 20 mins. He was loving it.Bonnie Langford would have probably played better!
He probably did love it, as he was dogger (my opinion), so he was probably surprised to have a fan club.I remember seeing Bobby Ford in a nightclub on a night out. Bonnie Langford?!
Monty was always first name on the team sheet, he was a very important player who made others look good by breaking up opposition playWe had a lot of excellent midfielders here during Montgomery's time at the club, they were that good because they had Montgomery at the side of them, doing the leg work and allowing them to play, was he a great footballer no, but I guarantee anyone who played alongside him would not hold the same opinion
Hoddle England 74 - 88Hoddle was unfortunate that the player competing for his spot was Gazza. He was a bit of a knob too
