I'm not going Sunday. I want to, I've probably got enough loyalty points but life and to be honest 40 Quid gets in the way I have to drive my boy home across country tomorrow otherwise I would be there. I've missed it but if I was there I would be one of those mugs the happy clappers applauding the lap of honour. So I'm not a proper fan. I watched Len Badger God rest him in his prime. I was there for Darlington and Walsall for Deano and Agana, boxing day, Bobby Davison virtually every good great and heartbreaking memory of the last 50 years. It doesn't make me a better blade than anyone just older possibly wiser probably not. I will clap them not for this season though some Didsy Ramsdale Bash of course definitely deserve it but because I couldn't last and we will probably never see some of these players in red and white again .All of them have at some point given me fantastic memories recently. I would thank them for that. I have not, will not and never will boo my team. I understand completely fans who do in the moment but to go specifically to boo them? Sorry I don't get it. I will be there next season I hope we all are I hope its great its the hope that kills you.

Who's told you you're not a proper fan or a mug for wanting to clap them on a lap of honour?

Keep the Faith WaH.
To amend Gen McArthur's statement slightly, " We shall return "

and slightly worrying concerning match day pricing next season fantastic season ticket prices but people who are working or cant commit to going every game pay the price im afraid be very interesting when these prices are revealed

I sent an email to the club saying that the £40 was a disgrace. I got a reply saying it'll be passed on etc, but it won't make any difference. I presume we've sold out tomorrow, but not seein confirmation on that either.

Nowhere near sold out. Half the tickets still left. Embarrassing but not unexpected.

I assumed tickets were left.

A variety of reasons why regular attendees are choosing not to go but I expected them to go easily enough.

Sends a strong message if we're struggling to sell 5k.

On the contrary I will find it quite refreshing if we don't sell out as it shows the boardroom that SUFC fans are not sheep who just accept any old shit decision thrown their way.

£40 quid a ticket for this dead rubber after the season we have had and after getting relegated 5 weeks ago, is a bloody disgrace imo.

They got it wrong on this occasion and some fans will vote with their feet (me included). I will be in the back garden again Sunday afternoon and no where near the Lane. I will probably buy some plants for the garden, with the money saved by not going to the dead rubber match, and I'll also put a few quid into the SCH charity. Each to their own though.

I wouldn't be going if it was £4.
Not to make a point, or because we've ended up where we are. Most of us have experienced that before.

I want to go and get the tingle up my kneck, feel the passion, the excitement and the disappointment. Those emotions can't exist in a ground with 10k spaced out.
I'll wait and go next season and try to not blub like a baby.

I’m not fussed about going tomorrow whether it was £15, £40 or £140. £40 is a bit of an own goal by the club, they could’ve done things better, but they didn’t.

I’ll go again when we can have full grounds again.

Down to 10,000 points now.
Edit

For 19/20 ST holders.
Further edit.

General Sale now

Not passing comment on the price, but all the players (yes, even Lunny) deserve to be clapped tomorrow.

Anyone who wants to boo them wants to give them heads a wobble. Oddballs.

I'm going tomorrow. Just because I've missed it so much.
If I stay to applaud the team, it will be to show my appreciation to some players that have given us so much pleasure over the last 5 years. It may be the last time 1 or 2 pull on a Blades shirt, and the likes of Billy and Didzy may just be squad players next season.
It doesn't mean I'm happy about paying £40 for the privilege, it's outrageous to be honest. But the ST prices are once again good value for next season

General sale now and am I right in thinking you can’t actually sit together🤷🏻‍♂️ I did log on and the seats were all singles, and below is text from the latest email about general sale.

Due to social distancing protocols and safety certificate requirements, our capacity for this game is 5,096 and tickets will be sold online only in a chequerboard formation – the following stands will be available: Kop, John Street, Bramall Lane Lower, Bramall Lane Upper, Westfield Corner.

And that for me is a big issue. I agree with you. Yet the club have encouraged a defiant stance from its own support because of the pricing, and the players aren't going to get the recognition they deserve because it won't have sold out. It's not just fans they've let down with this - it's staff too.

5,000 tickets at a suitable price would've sold out in a matter of hours. But here we are.

Personally, I think this has worked quite well. The people who are going are those who really want to go. Normally, for popular games, tickets go down very few loyalty point tiers. If this had been free or a tenner a lot of folk would probably have got a ticket and then not bothered to go.

This way, it looks as though most people who want to go will be able to, but the higher point folks got the first pick of the seats.
