I always understood that as we managed to stay up more than 1 year in the PL then we are due 3 years of parachute payments.
However of course, it the PL payments would be reduced again, seen it quoted as just 15 million.
This is correct.

Many people (on here and elsewhere) seem to have an opinion on Ndiaye's value. That's fair enough but ultimately he's worth that maximum that a buyer is willing to pay. Comparing him with other players is misleading as his value will be impacted by his contract situation and won't be fully realised with <18 months remaining on his current deal.

IF Everton have bid £15m and we have declined, hopefully it will help peoples perceptions around the Embargo.

Can the admins move this to the correct section
It should be in the rumours section which shows this has already been discussed.
It's basically a non story as Everton won't pay our valuation and we don't have a replacement lined up.

I keep saying this, outside Sheffield United N'Diaye isn't rated as this top player, they all still think our star payer and best player is Berge.
The Everton fans would go mad if they were pinning their hopes on an untested Championship player.
Thats why the report is saying it's a 15 million bid because most of the media think thats a fair bid based on his general valuation.
Now berge for £22m, that'll do nicely

Why would he go to everton who may be relegated?

Also why would a team battling for survival risk their budget on an unproven championship player?

And why would we sell him for 25/30m when we'd need to spend that amount or more for a replacement in the premier league.

And why is there a new thread? 😂

Fabrizio guy says plan from player and club is for him to stay till end of season

To give people some type of clue regards the validity of the Everton interest.

Just type in "Everton forum N'Diaye" into google.
It only comes up showing that they had an interest (a few year back) in signing Badou N'Diaye.

Hardly any Everton fans will even know who Iliman N'Diaye is
and they won't be impressed, as they see it, wasting £15 million on an untested inexperienced lower division player.

Anyhow on the main GrandOldTeam Everton forum there's not even a single thread regards possibly signing our player.
Think that tells you everything.

I work with a few and when I mentioned it they just shrugged and said they can't afford to buy anyone

There’s an American billionaire who’s bought Panaitolikos saying that he plans to buy Everton and Atletico Madrid and move players around, but it isn’t happening yet.

In with agents on every continent, if he says something he's generally correct. I can't recall him being wrong on anything off top of my head.
He’d said that Berge had signed for Brugge in the summer.

He gets a hell of a lot correct, but his word is most certainly not gospel.

I'd sack my agent if Forest and Everton. 2. relegation threatened sides we could swop places with in May are his best options.
One paper quoting 15m which is down right insulting for championship leading scorer

can't see any reason to let our Best asset go for 25 m when we are 18 games from getting 10 times that for going up

That's nothing new. He's just repeating what the prince and Hecky have said over and over again.

We won't even consider selling any players unless a player meets our valuation. It's that simple
and even if we do receive a massive bid we'd still require an adequate replacement.

If McCabe was still Chairman the bid wouldn't have reached £15 million in the first place

All of the other club Chairmen know each others traits and ambitions for their clubs.

Bidding would have started at £3 million and he'd have gone for £2.5 after McCabes initial rejection and subsequent panic when no higher bid was received

Under McCabes sole ownership the likes of Ndiaye would have barely seen the first team before being sold. Illy would have got sold in the summer with McCabe around for a few million.

Jebbo would have probably got sold as soon as we got relegated from the PL as well.

It's a risk averse stewardship. Yes sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate, but if we have no takeover, and manage to fuck up our promotion, then we'll be in deep doo dah next season, that's for sure. Under McCabe, it never felt like the club weren't going to be kept afloat.

Carlton Blade mentioned the other day that he's reckoned one club will go bust in a big way soon, and it could well be us if things don't go as planned over the next few months. Say what you like about the time under McCabe, but we knew we were skint, and budgeted appropriately. It never felt like we would 'pop'.

It's just been confirmed on Talksport radio that Everton have no money to spend in the JTW.

If they want to make signings then they need to be creative and have equivalent sales lined up too.
Selling Jordan Pickford would give them a decent transfer kitty but as he's been their best player....they don't think Everton would dare sell Pickford.

We undersold sold talent early with McCabe in charge.

Why do you think there is a risk of us going pop?

The Prince set out his plan for what would happen if we didn't get promoted this year a while ago, we sell assets and invest in young players. Hecky has been doing that already bringing a few through "just in case"

Keeping Berge, Brewster, McBurnie and any other big earners is a risk when you go down but getting those wages off will be manageable?
