I'm as disappointed as the next man with Ndiaye leaving but if a player doesn't want to play for our proud club, whatever the reason then it's best for all parties that he just fucks off. He's not the first and he won't be the last. He cost us next to nothing so a tidy profit has been made, and remember the last time we sold a decent playing in Brooks - the overall starting eleven was improved.

Numerous players leave on free transfers, look at Mbappe right now, he wants to move to Real Madrid and if he turns down other clubs PSG are down £200m!
Saying the board etc.. are incompetent, players want to leave and they hold all the cards now, that's it.

The direction of the club has for some time to try and pick young players up from across Europe (Anel, Slimane, Traore) and hope to make a profit on them and become self-sustainable. I am fuming about losing Ndaiye but I believe what I see not what xyz has said with no evidence!

Him and OM wanted to be together and they used that to get the best deal for them, hence the gorilla tactics from their fans!

Illy clearly thought he owed us nothing, enjoy the Farmers League, cya!

Bit harsh on Egan and Baldock and aren't Everton sniffing around Jebbison.
I just don't see it with Jebbison, so I'm not worried there. I felt the same way about DCL mind. :)

Egan and Baldock are settled, and about at their level. I can't see bigger / better clubs coming in for them, no.

His heart is at Marseille and he will have easier season than our relegation battle. Also seems he was offered everything we could give, so can't go beyond that.

He was very good for us and now we might have opportunity to build up stronger team for staying in Prem.

Osula and Jebbo both have a year left on their contracts just like illy. The same could easily happen to the them.
I'd be surprised if Jebbo was here by the end of the transfer window
Osula and Jebbison are very similar in style and stage of Development. They need games to improve overall both are raw and lack composure . The problem for them and for us is do they go on loan, do they stay in our squad or do we end up selling one or both. The PL is a big step up and could ruin confidence if things don't go well. The fact that Jebbison didn't play much last season may give the urge to move on.

I would like if both stayed and managed carefully. If we get relegated we have 2 young strikers that could make a big impact in the championship.

Sky saying the fee we've got is closer to £20mil - not sure if that makes me feel better or if the "we filmed a video" stuff is making me feel worse

I've said all along that I think it will be closer to £20m. We will never truly know what it is I don't think but people wetting the bed when the £13-14.6m was doing the rounds provided good entertainment 😂

I’m gutted as are most but it’s football unfortunately. Let’s see what we’ve got lined up in the pipeline, we still have nearly 2 weeks so plenty of time to sign people . Hecky already said we have a replacement lined up , let’s be realistic when you look at Troare , obvious Ndiaye replacement!! Thanks for the memories Illy, good luck at OM . We move on and hopefully he achieves what he should !
As ever UTB !

Feel like I've typed this before but here we go.... I just hope that the Board/Recruitment department learn form this fiasco and ensure we get solid contracts in place upon a player initially signing. The hope has to be that the recent influx - Anel, Slimane, Traore - are tied up and should their 'dream move' come along we're covered and we have provision to extend a contract that's running down, in our favour. I know Agents are the ultimate snakes, but hopefully going and grabbing raw talent, from relative international obscurity, will mean they're more likely to accept a contract that has more clauses to protect The Club.

Brewster's coming back. We're going to be fine.

Training session started at 9:am so I assume he’s injured again already

Bit of a side note but is it possible for this forum to stop constantly referencing Brewster’s injuries as the source of our problems, and a stick to beat him with.

He has no control over his injuries, and he’s not the only one who’s struggled because of them.

If we’re going down that road you could also blame JOC, but we don’t, because that would be stupid (as is blaming / singling out Brewster).

Look no fucker knows what the deal is for Illy, we're all disappointed, course we are but let's draw a line under it and move on, let's wait and see who we bring now, hopefully it helps Hecky bring in more and better quality than we were looking at and maybe, just maybe they are exciting players that helps us all get excited about the season again, fingers crossed.

This is still better than playing relegation season in Prem in his last year of contract, propably looking way worse than in last 2 seasons as it's harder games for whole team.

Receive way lower bid in Jan or even worse, walk out as free agent next summer.

Brilliantly put.

Whisper it, but part of me has been happy these past 16 hours or so since the news broke that this particular drama is finally coming to a conclusion.

Without an end, we've not been able to plan what we need. Hopefully we move on quickly and address our shortcomings with the additional budget.

Disagree, if people keep posting that he’s the great hope then it’s fair to point out why that’s unlikely.. three season ending injuries by the time he’s 23 cannot be ignored.

No one is saying that’s his fault, but it’s just the facts.

Like a few on here, now that I've had time to calm down and stopped screaming at the walls, it's time to move on- it's football and as blades we should be used to this. OM is his side and he wanted to go. If Kyle Walker turned down Bayern to come to us we'd all day 'well he's a blade'. OM is his team and he didn't want to stay. If he turns out to be a £100M pound player then we make another 20M from his sale Let's see what the club brings in before we judge the impossible position they found themselves in. Our only chance of staying up is our home form with the backing of the fans. If we make the atmosphere toxic and turn on the club, we'll definitely finish with less points than the sheep shaggers got and that's one record I certainly don't want us to have. UTFB

We've lost a great player for pennies again, who's to blame, it's the Prince clearly, not protecting your assets with contracts is school boy stuff, but like he said, he knows nothing about football, he was clearly happy taking the cheap option and letting a World Cup player stay on 4k a week...

I've always supported the prince, and he's almost bankrupted himself if you believe what he's said before, but he's let the dozy fiasco prevent him from doing the basics and I'm having real doubts now about the future, he seems to be cost cutting, Berge is another one who looks like he's not re- signing now, Jebbo and Osula will be next..

As for hal and nick getting the interview, I can't fucking wait, those moaning at them will be refreshing their youtube every 5 minutes.

Remember without the SUW it'd be my guess we'd be getting fuck all information.
I like SUW & don't mind the fact they speak to The Prince, ultimately they're a fan-podcast/ YouTube channel and dedicate a lot of time towards putting videos together with ex-players/ pre & post match analysis.

What I can't get my head around is Darren Smith. As far as I'm concerned he's a fan living in Spain that enjoys a bit of attention on Twitter & the prince feeds him information that an everyday fan shouldn't know. I can't think of any other owner that would do that? I can't imagine Hecky is impressed, especially when he's strictly 'no comment' when it comes to behind the scene stuff.

The fee received never really interests me. It could be £60m and I’d feel no better.

The enjoyment of watching him play football is gone. Yes we’ll sign players but nobody will come close to playing the game the way he did.

Can’t get over that video being filmed with a Billy Sharp voiceover… wtf I’ve never heard owt like it before. That really does feel like he’s messed us about for 2 weeks for me.
