Potter won’t come here, so you can forget that. You can ask him, he’ll say no, then you have to move on to the next target.

There isn’t an obvious choice from those that we could probably get. We could get someone who has failed in the PL before and wants another go. But I would probably take a punt on Rosenior. Whoever we get is going to be a punt.
 
I’d have said Wilder a couple of weeks ago, but he’d take us back to 3-5-2 and that’s simply not working. We need a new manager with new ideas & get some spark back into the defeated squad

at Boro at Watford he didn’t just stick to 352.

Watford predominantly 433 as they had wingers like Sarr and Pedro etc.

Apologies I took your post the wrong way.

I’m not really sure i attempt to come across like that on here. Look at all my posts. My opinion on Wilder is that he’s a good manager that’s done an amazing job, however, that journey has now passed with us & we should look at an alternative option.

To be quite honest,can anyone see a manager worth his salt taking over this car crash of a club,no matter how much cash is involved,Relegation doesn't look good on a C.V.

As far as I am aware we are not relagated yet,
As for "car crash of a club". You mean a well run club operating within its income.

No, i dont,i mean a club with most of a squad of midtable Championship standard players, an owner who wants out and no dough.
 
Just heard the “Wilder back in November” rumour from a source, can’t remember who posted it but it’s been mentioned on here already. We’ll see what happens then !

Edit: lol just seen the 9th November thread 😂 That was the date the source said.
 
Wilder has won 27 of his last 95 league games as a manager. Scored 95, conceded 128. Carrick, a managerial novice took his team and improved it instantly.

Wilder was a star. I've yet to see any evidence he's got the desire to be so again

Getting Wilder back would be the most Sheffield United Bladey Blade thing ever.

The one positive is it might tip the balance so much it could smoke Pinchy out and bring him back. Miss the days of a proper top quality WUM on here.

Sacking Hecky on the 9th Nov makes no sense its 3 days before we play Brighton.........................back to good old Championship fixture hits in early Dec.

Burnley,Liverpool and Brentford all in seven days.

If they were going to sack him they should have done it at the beggining of the international break.

Whilst Billy Legsareback arm wrestles Knilly for the number 2 spot.

IF Hecky goes the only way I would remotely accept Wilder back is on a short term deal until the end of the season...
