Was exactly does that mean? Does it include hotel income and Enterprise Centre income or are we talking purely match day receipts and player sales.

What would constitute entries on the Paid In column and what would cosntitute entires on the Paid Out column?

Anybody else worried...

Maybe it just means that we have to be run like any responsible business. We can only spend what we have got and no one is going to dig into their own private pockets or put up security to finance loans.

This is what all football clubs should be / should have been doing for the past 20 years. The constant churning of bank loans and borrowing against company assets has sent the game's economy spiralling out of control. Many clubs are now paying for it and others will follow. McCabe is right but we should have been doing this before.

If football was self sufficient we wouldn't have;

*Massively over-inflated transfer fees
*Massively over-inflated salaries
*Foreign business men buying our clubs without its best interests at heart
*Crazy ticket prices that the average working person cant afford
*The constant purchase of foreign players who stifle our youth development

We would have;
*A fairer transfer system resulting in a level playing field on the pitch
*Realistic salaries that reflect a talented sportsman
*British ownership of clubs, maintaining the game's traditions
*Affordable tickets so that more grounds are full and more people get value for money
*More young players coming through and getting exposure, ultimately improving the national team

It used to work.......once upon a time!

How much do you think that the transfer problem/players constantly moving is down to tv money, agents, the Bosman agreement or Chairmen who want to be media stars? Seems to me that all these 4 things came at about the same time and then we had all seater stadiums to give the owners an excuse to put the prices up.

British ownership of clubs, maintaining the game's traditions

But surely this should apply to any 'British' Industry????

Unfortunately beginning with Dear old Margaret Hilda's Tories and continued by Blair's Labour most of our Industry is now owned by 'foreigners'
