Danny , the absolute overwhelming majority of incidents at football matches are alcohol related . Its football that saw to the creation of a law that stipulates you are in breach of the law if you try to enter a sports stadium whilst drunk . Why do you think that is ?

Don't forget there were a whole host of other existing offences that could have been used if the problem was deemed to be disorderly or threatening behaviour . But no , the offence of being drunk merits arrest and prosecution regardless of the behaviour exhibited by the intoxicated transgressor . The reason ? Simple really ....... alcohol leads to trouble period .

We're the red and white Salvation Army....

You are on a wind up aren't you?

Drunk entering a sports stadium is a criminal offence . Do these ' decent fellas ' who enjoy ' proper beer ' make a habit of blatant criminality ? They knowingly ruin the match day experience for so many I simply refuse to acknowledge that they dont know what they are doing .

Selfish criminals have no place at the game .
Being drunk in a pub is also illegal :-o

The problem is some people convinced themselves this ever went away. I remember being a lad when we were in the 4th division and it went on there. Although I didn't see any coke abuse because it was probably too expensive. It hasn't changed much.

Football attracts the knobheads. It is accessible, it's affordable and you can mingle with a crowd and chuck your weight around then blend into the crowd without much chance of being caught. Also, it is easy to look hard with 200 or so like minded individuals when there is a cordon of coppers between you and the opposition knobheads, so most times no one gets hurt. Then the mob go round the back of the concourse at half time and tear up the concessions stand. Let's be honest Maureen the pie seller isn't going to take them on as they spray ketchup all over and tell everyone they will "do what they want".

The police are more likely to video the whole affair so they don't help because they aren't proactive. Sky don't want to publicise it because it sullies thier paid for product. The only time it gets the spotlight is when it is the national team then everyone tuts but no one actually cares because it's in someone else's back yard. Then we blame the Russians, or anyone else.

To blame alcohol is incorrect and a lazy fix. Most people can turn up at the match sozzled and just sit there for 90 minutes. Well there's the flashpoint mid half trip to the bog, but that is about it. This is a society issue in my opinion. It's ok to lob litter out of your car, generally be angry with all and everyone, smash the place up and people just stick it back together again.

Wankers will always be wankers I'm afraid but why the club, the police and other supporters cannot join together to weed these little cunts out is beyond me. The police will blame the club, who will blame the police or pretend it isn't happening. Unless someone from club and/or police stand up and do something positive then this will just carry on.

They didn't need to when SYP's policy for the day was " pack the animals in regardless , just get the scum off the streets " .

Fuckin scousers eh :confused:o_O

Sorry I didn't realise you'd been in charge of organising that day and have first hand knowledge of the planning, I stand corrected.

A lot of things went wrong that day and transpired to make the tragedy happen but absolving the scousers of any blame whatsoever was wrong in my opinion.

They were renowned for "2 scousers to a seat" throughout Europe in the years preceding the tragedy so it's not like they didn't have "form" for turning up without tickets and i find it far from coincidence that 2 of the worst football tragedies in history both involved the same team but like you say no one but the police were to blame.

I bet you don't think a dodgy safety certificate played a part either

So just so I can get this straight in my head.

What you're basically saying is that anyone who has had a drink before the game is a selfish criminal and ruin people's match day experience even if their behaviour, even with a drink in them, is impeccable?

Drink plays it part but dickheads are dickheads regardless if beer

I've seen enough shit over the years, blades fighting each other, coaches getting bricked and all that jazz..Nowadays if i see someone being a twat in the stadium i will report them..Snitches get stitches. Bring it on...You want to sit behind me and my son and call people "niggers and coons" then you will get told to shut up and reported...Also if your part of the no pyro no party wankers, i see you, i report you...

Unfortunately they do. Even on family stand. Kop it's more prevalent and even the dears on the south stand have their moments. Though south stand is more negro and mulatto...

I am a happy bunny apart from those utter cretins who ran out on to the pitch at the end.. use the TV pictures and ban them...Utter cunts.

Fans on the pitch utter cunts? Comment from a key Blades player on Sky was he thinks they are entitled to celebrate on the pitch after six years in league 1. Also on Sky they said it was good humored pitch celebrations.

Well done to the fans showing some passion for their teams promotion, too many "cunts" trying to kill the football fans passion these days, and I am talking about passion, not hooligans.

Well they need to fucking grow up then...Annoying set of twats who spoil it for the rest...I was there at darling and Leicester..Yes i did go on the pitch...Because those matches mattered..This one didn't..We are up..Sit back relax and let the players have their time rather than previous pubescent hard men giving it large on the pitch..Just makes us look like wankers...Hopefully next week there will be lots more stewards to prevent it....

Yes i am being grumpy about it..But i don't give a fuck...Don't do it...Life is .much easier...When we get fined for it..

Show passion from the stand...Don't need to run on the pitch...Things have moved on in 20 years......It only takes a knob to go goad the away fans for it all to kick off.

You mean you went on the pitch when you were younger, but now you're older- only twats do it?

I know what you mean, but as a kid I was on the pitch at many a United game. We get older and we then think differently, but those fans mean no harm, and if I was younger and at the game, I would have still done the same.

Do it when it matters...Not the week after..

Hope no one does it next week...

No, didn't say that..I said it was because it was a match that mattered and made a difference..Not a week later when all they were bothered about was selfies, self validation. And likes from fake friends.

Imagine If you were too young to go to Darling and Leicester, can you imagine how this promotion would feel to you? How special it would be to see your team win some silverware for the first time in your lifetime.

It is spreading!!! 4,000 Portsmouth fans flooding on to the Notts County pitch. More "Keep off the grass" signs might help?

If this game didn't matter, why the fook were you there?
Jeez, is English your second language or are you from low edges?..Maybe your deliberately dense or get up early and practice..Or is someone else in the family using the Braincell this week.do I have to do a picture to explain it for you??

I agree, my son is in his 20's and never seen us win anything, and this is only the second time I have seen us finish top of a league.

Morons the lot of them. Men, women and children all running onto the pitch as they were being asked not too. Want banning. I can just see united being docked points or a huge fine. These same dickheads will then complain that there's not enough transfer money. The one saving grace was watching the kid who went to take a penalty fall on his arse.
