Beer is the common denominator in all of this and it's frankly shameful to attempt to deny it or deflect blame elsewhere .

Get these idiotic habitual criminals out of our club and out of the game completely . The day we do this is the day the disgraceful behaviour ends .
If it was just the beer i'd be locked up most weeks!

some common themes i have been seeing from the inbreds on social media lately:

"we r sheff utd we do what we want" - well you can up to the point ur banned from games u fckin oxygen thief.

"no pyro no party" - until someone gets seriously injured or a fire starts and endangers lives u waste of a wank

"grass, snitches get stitches" - how old r u? u still at school or on the set of some cockney gangster movie?

we have a few of these types as part of our fans. grown men and women who still have yet to finish puberty mentally. lots of them have kids, and guess what they will be like when they get older. u cant reason with em, u cant make them see sense. u see this lot think that life is all about acting hard when really their behaviour is pathetic. school bullies who have carried on acting up in later life. all clubs have em and sufc should find these arsetrumpets with their flares and ban em. i saw plenty of these at wembley v hull, coke snorting stone island twats who kicked off right next to where me and the lad sat. they didnt bother with the game so god knows why they went

It's not beer and it's not drugs. Alcohol and drugs are just excuses for nobheads that have no idea how to behave like normal human beings and genuinely don't give a toss as to how their behaviour affects other people.

I know fans that drink too much (me included) at games and I know some fans that take class a drugs. Not one of them throws flairs or smoke bombs and not one of them acts like a moron looking for trouble. You've got middle aged men acting the hard man and looking for trouble and then you've got chavvy youths trying to impress the older blokes and also trying to impress their mates on twitter.

Take away booze and the innocent fans who like a beer suffer whilst the mongs carry on causing trouble because pissed or sober they're nobheads.

Coke is an insidious and increasingly frequent problem with elements of our fanbase. I'm sick to death of seeing it to be honest. Cokeheads are far more insufferable twats than pissheads. Every time I see these little pricks snorting it I hope it's been cut with rat poison. The herd needs thinning.

" snitches get stitches " . I've never heard that one before :D:D

I stick to Pepsi and have no problems.

Danny , the absolute overwhelming majority of incidents at football matches are alcohol related . Its football that saw to the creation of a law that stipulates you are in breach of the law if you try to enter a sports stadium whilst drunk . Why do you think that is ?

Don't forget there were a whole host of other existing offences that could have been used if the problem was deemed to be disorderly or threatening behaviour . But no , the offence of being drunk merits arrest and prosecution regardless of the behaviour exhibited by the intoxicated transgressor . The reason ? Simple really ....... alcohol leads to trouble period .

Just like thousands of others I've over-enthusiastically enjoyed alcohol before every game and never once done anything stupid like that (OK, maybe once in 47 years of watching United, for those who know me, but that was unintentional and it involved nothing more dangerous than Bovril :p )

I do wish some of our more brain-dead excesses could be reigned in a bit but let's face it even today's knuckle-dragging thundercunts are mere amateurs compared with what we had to put up with in the 70s and early 80s.

I'd imagine most of them are that thick someone will be making a killing selling them baking powder. Just thinking they've taken it will make them ten men. Like the fake Burberry wearing kid at Doncaster acting big with a copper. When he got arrested he started crying while his mate scarpered.

Yes and we will get some new chants such as "we are the temperance Blades, we are the temperance Blades" and "we are teetotal and said we are teetotal" and the new line in the reworked greasy chip butty of "you fill up my senses like a gallon of lime and lemon". Not to forget the new classic of "Shoreham Boys we are here , respect your women and share your ginger beer"

So why after 57 years of drinking have I not decided to annoy people or cause trouble?

No need to bring group homosexuality into it !

I've been at Rugby matches where I'm the most sober person in the crowd and everyone's boozing around me with no trouble. I've also seen people absolutely wankered at all manner of sports including cricket FFS! I've enjoyed beer in my seat at football grounds in 6 countries without any restriction or any hint of a problem whatsoever, but somehow because of a few dickheads the rest of us can't have a pint in our seats in British football matches (unless it's a beam-back where the need to make money outstrips all the reasons against selling it to football fans on the first place, and it's nowt to do with the presence of away fans because they're usually 120 yards away).

Preventing alcohol drinking during the game in the fans' seats simply pushes the numpties into overloading before the match and at half-time. The same amount of alcohol is consumed whichever way you handle it.

Why is it that UK football fans can't drink in their seats without causing massive amounts of bollocks? That's the question. If there's a real answer, let's have it and let's deal with it. If there IS no real answer, mine's an IPA and I'm on Row P, cheers!

Alcohol isn't the problem, nobheads are the problem. I will agree though that alcohol + nobhead = even bigger nobhead.

But still get rid of the nobhead get rid of the problem.

It's perfecy reasonable to stop someone who is shitfaced from coming in. Football was the reason for the ban in part because of the lie that drunks forcing their way in caused the Hillsborough disaster.

Without getting into the whole Hillsborough thing, alcohol is down to most football trouble issues but had absolutely nothing to do with an event that saw 96 innocent people lose their lives?

"Hit a child", my arse.

Every time we play Port Vale something or other that's been thrown's meant to have "hit a child".
I was sat behind them and that bottom corner was packed with baying Neanderthals looking to kick-off. No kids, no old guys and no need to sit there if you didnt want to, because the number on your ticket counts for zilch. Home fans seem to sit wherever they want to just like I did.

Any reference to 'child' must have been relating to their individual or collective mental age.

The ' ban ' was implemented approximately 3 years before Hillsborough .

No fans turned up without tickets that day either apparently.
