We have been bang average. The league is shocking. I’m not “Hecky out” but let’s be honest, are you impressed?
We should/could have easily lost against Hull/Swansea/Preston. Not to mention the shambles against Luton. Results are papering over the cracks. I get we have have injuries but I don’t believe we’re getting the best out of the players available.

What games have you been watching? We've had sloppy moments or poor games here and there but for the most part we've been playing fast paced exciting attacking football, I'm very impressed. Feels like some people are fans just so they have something to be miserable about.

Agree. I think back to the last 18-24 months of Wilder, where we were embarrassingly negative and boring and I struggled to be bothered to watch, to the games this season, which I have been entertained pretty much every time (though I didn’t see, Luton or Stoke).
The players that Hecky bought or loaned are all positive, forward thinking players that I enjoy watching. No we don’t win every game but I rarely get bored watching them
 



There's more drama being a Blade than watching Emmerdale. Apart from this Sunday night, of course.
 
Great example of our downward progression. We won’t get many more chances to stay autos due to other teams failing to capitulate. Burnley have already done so.
 
Jesus christ, I totally despair of people like the OP chingo! Using meaningless statiistics in a weak league to try and justify staying. We are only top because of the first ten games ffs. We have now not won for 4 games, threw away a two goal lead yesterday. and have had mounting injuries. FFs, and you still get a large number of Hecky worshippers who cant see he isn't the bext for the club and will not take the club forward in the Prem or may not get us there. But heyho you are prepared to accept thge club not progressing as it should. What the fuck has Hecky done over his career to jutify this confidence??
 
I’ve seen @Guesty’s shouts lately that we’re an upper mid table side that’s got off to a fast start and I’m in agreement now I think. Hecky hasn’t got the tactical mind to win promotion at this level imo.

That’ll be the Hull / Swansea / Preston that each failed to score & we beat
Compounded by the “shambles” of drawing with a team that finished 6th last season & are currently 7th

Look at his win percentage since he became our manager.

Would you prefer we sacked him? Who would you appoint instead?
 
There is an old saying about "winning ugly" and sometimes we have to suck it up and realise that a variety of circumstances can occur with 11 men playing 11 men. Yes we have hit a bad patch with the last 4 games but we are still second .No point in pissing about with yet another managerial change, Hecky ,Mc etc have to keep going- sort it all out and get us back on track.

Were you complaining about Hecky before the international break? No. You were quite happy with our progress as were 99% of us. True, we’re weren’t totally dominating games but anyone who expects us to is living in cloud cuckoo land. Will we have dips? Of course we will but it’s been 4 games were we’ve not got the results or performances we should have. Is Hecky the man to lead us to the promised land? Who knows but at the same time there’s no evidence to suggest he isn’t either.

He has a 5 year contract. Unless there is some obscure clause in his contract that allows us to sack him for nowt he’s going nowhere regardless of results tbh
 
Lets not use the league table to shy away from the past 4 results.

That's the bigger picture. Bar QPR, we should have taken 9 points minimum, with maybe a draw at QPR.
 
Any team that gets promotion will have some off performances, and still get a win. We're not special in having some off days.....Hecky deserves his place as manager. Not many think differently, although it can seem that way if a few are vocal......

Good post, but the clock is ticking for the present manager, or it should be, but we all know the main man isn't interested.
