I’ve woken up and he’s still the manager. How?

Went to bed thinking how have the board not already sacked Selles? Imo he should have gone before Ipswich game. The International break was the ideal time to bring in someone new and it was obvious then Selles was completely out of his depth - over promoted at other places and a CV that shouldn’t have him put in charge of a league 2 club let alone a club that was on the verge of the Prem last season. If COH want to convince the fanbase they aren’t completely clueless they need to act and act now. If they don’t this already disastrous start to the season will spiral out of control. If they are gamblers waiting for Selles to walk so they don’t have to pay compo they’ll be waiting a long time. Get him gone and get him gone now.

First thing I did what search to see if he had gone when I woke up. I steady I got an ambiguous post match interview that made me feel even worse about him. Said we paid how he wanted for most the first half......mate we had zero shots on target......something something something analysis, you've had two weeks for that and made things worse. Didn't play haner and Campbell said that's wasn't a gamble it was a decision based on something......the wrong fucking decision.

Perhaps they're rifling through their rollerdex - under

M for Manager?

Or W - for Warnock, Wilder or Selles.....

Or H - for Help

That's disappointing, hes still manager.

These owners are no good. Absent owners always worry me, give off dont give a toss attitude.

They were there last night apparently. If they were happy with that then we're doomed. God help us if he's still here for Charlton. What an atmosphere that will be.

Thankfully I won't be there, I'll be somewhere warm and sunny.

It'll be toxic next Saturday if he's still there.

He's dodged a bullet with two away games with odd kick off times - he'll know exactly what 30,000 people think of him at the Charlton game. He might want to leave that off his CV.

I honestly think that COH won’t get rid unless he loses 2-3 more. They made the big call & appointed him. They will be desperate for him to turn it around. Sadly the players don’t believe in him - so there is no chance. He should be sacked today - we are wasting time now through stubbornness to admit a big mistake.

He needs to do the honourable thing and walk. Nothing against him as a bloke. As a manager however? Dogshit.

I'm fucking angry at the state of our club. Feels like over a decade of near constant improvement has been pissed away. These owners have a lot to answer for.

I suspect he may have said to the owners "thus isn't working, let's negotiate a pay off". It wouldn't surprise me if the owners are too stubborn to do that.

He'll be sacked by Monday at the latest, publicly. Seems optimistic to think he'd have been sacked between 10pm and 7am.
I doubt it. COH appointed him and may give him 2-3 more games. The Main owners have’nt been seen at a match since Wembley. Doubt we’ll see them any time soon.

Done same mate, was hoping and expected him gon, but nothing. He's got to go

The fact that we're worse than Wednesday after all their documented troubles says a lot to me and not because it's our local rival neither. Especially when we've got some excellent players in the squad. Surely they will act now but if they don't then it's stubborness of the highest order or delusion that he can still turn this round.

Eventually he'll get a decent result and then does that buy him 2/3 more matches?! He needs to go now. But then we've got to hope COH sports get it right next time. I have my doubts to say the least that they'll get it right next time.

When you're owners who know fuck all about football, you get a manager with a proven track record at the level you're competing at and let him get on with it.

The problem with COH is that they don't realise they know fuck all about football.

Our first team coach, Loveland, was an intern of Bristol City's analysis team about ten years ago. I do wonder if the wider team are Selles big problem. Perhaps respected at Reading but not here.

They have to sack him and well before next week's match. As a half decent manager might actually get us a win Vs Charlton and Oxford.

If it's not done over the weekend needs to be on Monday.

I had big reservations about Selles based on his previous. But hoped for the best.

So far I've seen some of worst performances I've ever witnessed from a United side. I feel sorry for most the players too. You can see they are trying to implement the system but it's not working.

I mean even two years ago in the prem. We still created some chances at times. And even though we were super leaky goals wise you could factor in the quality of the oppo Vs. our undercooked squad.

This.... This is baffling bad.

A decent manager should recognise they are short at the start of the campaign and simplify it. Or recognise after a few it's not quite working and tweak to do the basics right.
