Hulse close to England?!?

Theres a rumour going about that Warnock mentions in his book that Rob Hulse was close to getting an England call up just before getting injured at Chelsea.

Im guessing it could of been possible.

With Ashton and Owen out injured at the time.

Defoe, Nugent and Smith were hardly making waves in the england team.
