I agree on the late postponements but as for teams not fielding a side...there's been 70% of the whole EPL/EFL who did not play today so a large number who can't field a side!

The 2 week break is pointless as when teams come back they will still be cases. They are still mixing with their families and kids go back to school next week too. Unless they go back to bubbles and lock it down for players properly then teams will be postponing games for the forseeable.

I dont get this notion that some people think this will just 'die out' in a few weeks? It might peak and numbers may decline but it is still going to be here.

As sjl says it has not really hit us yet as we squad. Maybe we've been better with how we have handled protocols or as likely been lucky ..but reality is in next few weeks we will probably have to postpone at some point too if/when it hits our squad as we see how quickly it spreads.

Wonder if our fan base will say gerron wi it if we have 10-12 1st team players missing?
To be fair DB, we just beat Fulham with 9 seniors out and lost another at half time. If it's good enough for us to gerron wi it then same applies to the covid cry babies who had injuries anyway and are claiming they can't field a team.

Quick lateral flow yesterday evening and if they came back negative then that’s the cut-off point for the game to go ahead. No need to do another test this morning. 🤷‍♂️

Needs to be some proper protocol put in place like the above because at the minute it seems like it’s a free for all. It’s not going to go away anytime soon either.
LFT are not reliable and do not pick up this variant

They should have a cut off point on the tests. Say 6 or 8 hours before the kick off.
Why are teams testing players 2 hours before kick off?

Makes you wonder doesn’t it, a struggling Hull with a few players out facing the prospect of an in-form, third in the league Blackburn.

Bet they had players coughing towards each other and others licking door handles all morning.

Sheffield United in form ✅
Opponents have injury problems ✅
Quick get those Covid tests out.

How come out of yesterday's 18 games in Scotland only 3 where called off ?

I was negative on a lateral flow at 5 A. M but then positive at 12 on Christmas day.
Finding the right cut off point isn't going to be easy with this new variant

When fans couldn't go, the games went ahead - televised. Now the games are being cancelled - less games on TV. At some point, I think the broadcasters will eventually step in to resolve this. It's one thing clubs losing gate receipts, it's another when matches can't be shown on TV.
