sod the price why do they get 4500 tickets??
Because at £28.50, we're unlikely to sell many on the upper tier either?

Can we please get back to encouraging away fans to boycott our ground because we have the cheek to charge similar prices to what they will charge us?
I think what's really pissed them off is that:
a) United fans can get tickets for £26 on the Kop - United fans know that it's not really a comparison in terms of view/facilities
b) The Bury match is a category C so their visiting fans are being charged £14 (which coincidentally, is a fiver cheaper that Huddersfield's cheapest Cat C prices in an uncovered stand)
interesting about the bury match though, linz. i guess the smaller teams are typically a few quid cheaper than everyone else, regardless of what category match it is...?
Fact of the matter is, our category B and C prices are very reasonable... it's just our Cat As that look a bit scary.
Interesting to look back at the figures from this thread: http://www.s24su.com/forum/showthre...-of-going-to-the-match-BBC&highlight=cheapest
We're third cheapest, Huddersfield are fourth most expensive.

Oldest sports stadium that has been in continuous use isn't it?
£28.50 to sit in the lower tier of Bramall Lane to watch League 1 football? Scandalous. The HTFC fans will be even more annoyed once they've been and found out how little legroom they've got. If it's packed quite full, you end up with your knees grazed or stood up for 90 minutes. Sat in there for the England U21 match that Naughton played in the other year, I've got short legs and I was struggling.
I don't get this 10% business. United are charging £26 for the SUFC fans on the Kop, £24 with a member card. So why have they added £2.50 to the price for the Huddersfield fans? Especially on the lower tier? It strikes me that SUFC know they aren't taking much on SUFC pay on the day tickets so they're bumping up the price of the away end.
IMO, the away ticket prices should remain the same all season. Every team should notify the Football League of their prices in the away areas of the ground. It could be different prices for the upper/lower decks or standing/seated areas but as long as these are clear at the start of the season, it is fine. Then you can charge three prices for the home fans if you wish to (Category A, B and C for example) BUT the away fans all pay the same price regardless. I reckon that some the of the HTFC fans might see the difference between the Bury price and their price and - rightfully so in my opinion - are upset that they're being punished for being a bigger name club.
Is it not £26 for members and £28 without?
It is, however, £28.50 for United fans on the Westfield Corner and upper tier...

Nope... it's £26 on the Kop, £24 for members.

if udders charge the same for us when we travel there, then i think thats fair.It was the same last season as well as I recall, £34 being the top priced ticket. But - and I might be wrong - we didn't actually price any games as Cat A last season, what with us being fucking rubbish and all, so these prices are a shocker all round.
I don't blame Huddersfield fans for being annoyed and threatening to boycott the game, but do they realise that the same charges apply to us too? I could look at the links provided to check of course, but life is surely too precious to waste any of it reading their demented ramblings.

I suspect the view is slightly better in corner. Linz - just accept we are ripping HTFC fans off, it might come as a breath of fresh air to you, criticising the club and standing up for people like yer sen who love travelling and watching football.
Erm... someone asked a question and I answered with the facts. No need to turn it personal.
Unless of course, you can confirm that it isn't the same price for United fans on the corner? Otherwise I suggest that you wind your neck in.
You made the additional comment 'so we are not making more off the away fans'. I think we are ripping them off - do you? Do you think the lower tier is same as the corner?
I think football tickets are a rip-off. However, I don't see them as a stick to batter just United with especially as a travelling fan I paid £23 to watch United at Oldham, I've paid £28 to see United at Ipswich in the past and a tenner to watch our kids play a pre-season game at Alfreton. People either realise it and pay it, like we do, sacrificing other expenditure. Or they decide they can't justify it and don't go. The only people who want to arrange boycotts and encourage them are the ones who want to feel better about they themselves not going. One match and a couple of hundred people isn't going to make a great deal of difference when the problem is endemic.
Your suggestion was that United were ripping off away fans over and above home fans. My point was that they aren't.
