No rubbish like "what if the player wants to go":

Rosler rules out Osborne sale

Friday 01-July-2011 10:41

Charlton made an enquiry about the the 23-year-old last week but Rosler insists he wants to keep Osborne at Griffin Park.

The Bees manager told the Hounslow Chronicle: "I want to work with four centre-halves next season so he's not available.

"We want to strengthen and build on what we have here in order to reach the next level.

"Charlton's valuation of Karleigh wasn't even close to what we were thinking, but we're not looking to sell him anyway."

What odds you giving me he starts the season at the Valley, Bergen?

If he was genuinely interested in keeping the player he wouldn't have even mentioned the valuation that Charlton put on him. That statement screams, 'not enough, make a higher bid and we're in business!' And guaranteed the player + agent have been to see manager and chairman. 'Don't worry you will be allowed to speak to them we just want to get a little bit more. Just go with us on this one for the moment.'

Top and bottom. Charlton want him. He wants to go to Charlton. They'll do the deal. So this is all just bollocks to appease gullible supporters!

Obviously every player has a price, and I accept Brentford's board may interfere. But Rössler won't be bothered if the player is jolly or not. If he doesn't work hard and perform he'll be on the bench.

When I read the thread title, for a moment there I was expecting this to be related to United rejecting a bid for a young player.... but that never happens

Meanwhile, over in Donny. John Ryan , as per, shows how it's done.

Admit it, you've been sitting with your fingers crossed and a note in your diary for this one, haven't you?

:D

UTB

Ha! No, but with the transfer window coming up I remembered that I'd made this thread. I had to check if he was still there! Happy new year Alco! :)

Slew got his debut today. OK, so it was a time-wasting substitution on 89 minutes. How he must be enjoying the big time. :)
