I'd be inclined to agree with you except for one thing. "Bigger" or "Better" shouldn't even be the criteria we are arguing about because neither of us are even in the running for either. I think it's more accurate to say were than are.

Apart from the stadium being bigger and more delapidated.

In the modern era we've finished above them almost twice as much.

We've had more seasons in the top flight. They've had none!

We are getting better gates than them and also did under Warnock.

There comes a point where if you have to delve into the last century to deem them bigger then the argument is largely invalid.

Otherwise you'd say we are bigger than Chelsea based on historical attendances.
