Reading are shite, but I still worried. Took us ages to break them down at their place and it was only when Duffy and Billy were on that we did.

Just shows what depth we have now. He’s recruited very well in January.

Was suprised at the amount of changes but as soon as that early goal went in knew we had more than enough on the pitch to take the game away from em..

The early goal helped, ill be suprised if their plan-A wasnt to be tight, sit back and hit on the break.. scoring when we did basicly threw them off all together, only one winner!

Honestly, no I didn't.

Wilder and Knill have shown that they can pull off brave decisions and leaving 30 goals on the bench certainly was brave, but let's be honest Reading are poor and it made sense to try out a new partnership at home against a poor side, with one half of that partnership already having settled in very well.

The defensive changes were less controversial [if that is the right word?]. Many probably felt Stearman deserved a start but Egan is nailed on as the sitting CB and Cranie &Stevens have looked excellent as the more attacking CB pair. I was a little surprised to see Freeman start [simply because he has had not game time at all recently] but Johnson probably deserved a crack at starting a game.

I was confident of the win all week, and nothing changed at 14.01 when I saw the sheet.

Was initially very surprised, thought 2 were big risks, Marvin Johnson on the left and Scott Hogan up front.
Then it entered my head that this was a match where the risk was worth taking.
Also saw the benefits of resting Sharp and McGoldrick making sure they stay fresh and injury free.

Also if the Hogan-Madine partnership wasn’t working, then could have brought on Sharp and McGoldrick for the 2nd half.
Even with an under strength team still felt confident we’d win but the weird thing is that all the new players
Cranie, Freeman, Johnson, Hoganand in particularly Madine played really well. Looks like we now have 4 top strikers, happy days.

Not really. I thought every change made perfect sense given the opposition and the upcoming fixtures. That and Wilder has done this kind of thing before.

The change that surprised me, and I really loved, was in the Boro game where, instead of putting Stearman in for O'Connell, he decided to play an extra attacking player in Dowell.

Johnson scares me. Other than that I was alright about Hogan and Madine, I was annoyed for Bill because I thought Pukki might fill his boots at the BolWanUniBolSta.

Freeman soon settled the nerves though, and Johnson was pretty decent.

We've got a vital two weeks coming up with many other clubs playing an extra game to us.

Wilders still adjusting to this level, last year was his first attempt , but hes a quick learner and adapts rapidly
His JTW signings last year were mistakes , He learnt from it and this years are miles better.
Hes built a squad thats got adequate cover for every position , mainly as several players are inter changeable, such as Bash
The value of our front line has shot through the roof the way its coming together

Not me. He pretty much played the lineup I said he should've played. Only difference being that I thought O'Connell would've made the game with Stevens on the left and if not, Stearman would've played after his game v Boro
