WELL IT SEEMS THE UNREST HAS BEGUN AND THE CALLS HAVE STARTED!
Maybe a tad harsh and I really want to give him a chance however I am highly disatisfied with our style of play, lack of forward attitude, lack of goals and lack of points! Therefore if the style doesn't change then the manager will have to eventually!
So lay your bets, above is the poll. How long does Mr Weir have left? Will he be given the boot? If so when?
Base your guesses on the attitudes and previous actions of our Chairman as well as all of the factors eg results, new owners etc and not on your own wishes.

There is no sustainability in the awfully boring losing negative football, it's wrong on too many areas for me. Nice bloke, wrong league for his style of football. He appears to have not an ounce of pragmatism or creativity. His radio pig interview on Saturday was a disgrace.

Defeat against Preston and a Hammering by Wolves will put us rock bottom and see him on his way

I think we'll lose heavily against Preston. Teams can see we are shit, create no chances and are low on confidence. Blades 0 3 Preston, Fighting in the kop and game over for the manager.

And that will be a first home defeat against them since the 1970s.

Didn't hear the interview, what was said ?

Wonder if those scousers doubting Brendan Rodgers are still wanting him out?
I wonder at what stage of last season the signs were as ominous for them though. Either way they could rest assured that he had at least previously demonstrated he could deliver.

Well they lurched from manager to manager and became a laughing stock, then they made the right decision and stuck with it.

Rodgers had to play slightly better sides including 3 out of the top 4 in his first 5 games last season
He did have better players and more money and a bigger wage budget etc etc etc.

Maybe so. Personally I think they were bang average when he came and will end up bang average this season. Either way I can't imagine they witnessed the dross, even relatively speaking, that Weir has served up this season. And I doubt there were any 9 games spells after which they had gone so alarmingly backwards.

All the omens point to Port Vale at home being his last match unless things improve. Heath was sacked after a Port Vale debacle.
Blackwell was sacked after a former manager's triumphant return.
14 league and cup games is generally considered to be a fair crack of the whip (He would have had more cup games if we hadn't fallen at the very first hurdle in both!).
Any new loan players he signs will have had 3 or 4 games to help make a difference.
I hope he can turn things around but I can't see him surviving beyond Port Vale on 19th Oct if he doesn't.

Not if we're truly trying to do something different and for the long term and are getting away from short-term sackings.

Like I said played 3 out of the top 4, we have played 1 decent side away.

Most of the sides we have played are above us, so please define decent. In relative terms most sides in our division are decent because they are better than us.

Serious question. How far would you say we should be allowed to decline "in order to do something different and for the long term"? Is relegation to the 4th division a price worth paying?

This keeps coming up and I don't get it.What is Weir trying to do so differently to Wilson. Why are we so different to every other club that would find our predicament unacceptable.

How many out of the teams we have played do you think will be in the playoffs???
