How do football bans work,anyone been banned before?

If you are on about fan banning orders then it's usually a 3 year ban . A life ban or a few I know have 6 year banning orders.
A fair few I know can't go within a mile of bramall lane on mathday , some cant be in sheffield city centre if the blades are at home.
I knew one blade years ago who was banned for an incident v Wendy, he got a 3 year ban but still attended home games with a change of appearance in everyway and moved elsewhere in the ground.
I've never been banned and I've travelled allover, the closest I came was Walsall away 20 odd years ago. Went to court on the Thursday in Walsall expecting a ban .
What I didn't expect were around 30 other blades in court that same day Including a fair few Woodhouse blades.
Everyone brought newspapers with the clips police brutality against blades fans .
The coppers in Walsall that day were told to arrest as many blades as possible and get them banned.
Fairly sure it the in the Yorkshire Post and exposed.
I walked out a free man and I know 4 others who did . We all drank the afternoon in Walsall in our suits.
Next home game I remember Gary littler who was the blades travelling copper asking me about the case.

im sure i was with you in that little club years ago across from leadmill when that Leeds fan came in on his own and tried setting fire to bogs 😂😂
 
from the porktalk thread on this subject its quite hard to actually stop you from going in especially if someone else got your ticket it would be near impossible to recognise you with nearly 27k blades and doubt stewards would give a shit anyway to much hassle unless you've got previous

You probably were but If remember, no blade touched him even though a few wanted too.
I remember buying him a couple pints and he said I will buy you one back .
We walked to the cash machine and he tried at least 6 different cards and all declined.
A few blades wanted to lynch him so walked him back to the train station . He was from Leicester but a Leeds old hooligan, he didn't have a train ticket or could afford to get home .

that's right he was pissed as fuck i remember you looked after him,no one touched him one of the lads came outta toilet and said that Leeds cunt tried setting bog on fire a few laughed and loads wanted to do him but didn't

Was the old Norfolk Arms by the Leadmill.
No idea how he was untouched that day as it was full of bbc.
He was an old skool leeds lad but off his head on something.
He was bricking it though , he kept saying don't leave me .
The bloke had no money for drink and no train ticket home .
I hate bullying so he got left alone .
On leeds forum a few days later some ledds were praising the blades for code of conduct and mentioned his name and how he was looked after.
I had the same trouble when I moved here to derby 7 years ago.
Big sheffield united tattoo on back of my head, stood out like a sore thumb , I got some grief but I now drink with all these , they regards me as a local .

Derby away was usually a tasty fixture back then with the DLF honestly dont mind Derby its them other fuckers Forest

Forest are the team I hate after Wendy.

I live about 15 mins from East midlands Airport by bus /car . All round the castle donnington area are forest .
Derby lads are OK, I no most if not all their main lot old and new .
Kirky runs the Neptune but most derby now drink up stockbrook at the Bedford Arms.
Thommo who was on footballs hardest away days is a good mate.
Baseball ground was always a proper day out. My partners mum and dad owned the pear tree pub right by the ground.

don't know what happened to the end of your post think i pressed it by mistake but yeah ive got family in Nottingham and to be honest the accents shit and they are arrogant
 
I spend alot of time in Nottingham as its only 20 mins by train . I buy alot of my clothes there. Its OK for drinks its just spoilt by the people. I detest forest more than Leeds and I hope they have a rough time at the lane.
The geezer from cologne or koln in germany him and mates always drunk in the bankers draft before we play them and he hangs his flag up. His Mrs looks like she's been hit the the supertram.

I never missed a game anywhere.
I now have to pic and choose thru my job .
I tend to come in and out no boozers unless I'm staying at the best western, Victoria quays .
I keep in touch with big Roger etc.

Can't remember fella .
Just know that half of us have passed away sadly since those days.
Lost so many good lads.
To me I no longer give a damn , the coke heads on marching powder killed it .
Had enough issues here with step son and drugs and I mean dealing with trouble thru his drugs every night.
One thing in life I detest is drugs and druggies.
Its also killed football, young chavs off there heads on coke .
Prefer the quiet life around people I trust and taking myself away all the time.
Had a few issues health wise, things I never expected as fit as a fiddle and really enjoying seeing life in a different way .

Now a manager at a top company here in derby .
Also got my own little business going as a side venture and doing OK if not very well.
I find out Wednesday if I need operation on back which will put me out of action for months .
Was going up Edinburgh in a couple weeks for weekend to watch hearts my scottish team but highly doubtful .
As said , prefer the quiet life but always call in to see the lads when I'm in sheffield.

Don't quote me on this but rumour was years ago all blades lads who were banned from a mile near bramall lane so resided in the penny black .

Good excuse to leave work early that 😂 they make allowances for situations like that, my pal lived on woodhead rd across from railway pub when he was banned, they couldn’t enforce the not being near the ground rule.
 
Remember that Leeds fan who hit the Wednesday keeper? He was banned but would regularly post photos of himself at the games. I think sometimes the police did pick him out but not always. It seems impossible to really police unless every fan in every seat needed some form of ID rather than have a mate give them a ticket
 
I remember years ago. Me and a mate looked after this kid who believed he was some feared BBC member. Although he reminded me of Gumbo from ID. There was a game where we decided to go to the Crickiters instead as he couldn’t get in. It was full during the match, everyone in there were genuine hard nuts, but were very welcoming. They had seldom clue who the fuck this lad was. But they all claimed to be banned, which wouldn’t have surprised me. Not sure how strict the banning was as they were all opposite the ground . Anyway. They were welcoming enough, despite me having fuck all in common. Because, quite unsurprisingly, we support the same team.
 
A banning order by a COURT, following a criminal charge, means that if you are "found" in the ground you can be dealt with by the COURT. You're committing another criminal offence by being in the ground. You can be arrested and returned to Court. That escalated the case including prison time if appropriate.

A banning order by a CLUB. You just get a letter telling you the details. Those are more difficult to enforce. If you are "found" in the ground, you'll probably just be ejected if you just calmly "go quietly".

Disobeying a CLUB ban is easier and less serious than disobeying a COURT ban.
 

Nottingham, was 23 hour a day bang up , put on a wing of lifer's ,
2 different gangs on there and let's just say everyday was evil .
Didn't bother me as I knew a couple in there , one was lester divers old mate .
I knew I was coming out after a few weeks as wrongly locked up and classed as cat d but put in cat b , jail.
Moved to Boston to North Sea.
Asked for sudbury but no room.
Walked out head held high as they knew they were in the wrong. I was actually teaching cnc engineering in Ranby as its my job.
Came back to derby a broken , embarrassed man but I'm now laughing at them all as I'm doing well in life .
Derby coppers are bastards, based at Ripley, and counts after women all the time.
Every morning I wake up I see a better day.
Never trust a copper.
