I assume their stats was just for league games.
If its just for league games they are well out. Posted on Deadbats thread last night SUFC 45 wins Pigs 36. Cup games are irrelevant. Pigs use Midland cup competition in the first world war as a means to skew the figures. Fact is we're 9 league wins in front of them and that hurts them the most. Just type in Steel City Derby on wiki and the figures are there for all to see.

I don’t watch the pigs, but after all the talk of Rohl being a quality coach by pigs fans (and some on here buying into it) I was expecting a fast, counter attacking team that takes the game to us. Needless to say they looked like a mid table hoofball team. Not seen anything to suggest top teams will be lining up to take him off Wednesday.
they will all done and dusted 😉

In boxing terms, they came out swinging but par a couple of decent attempts it was clumsy and largely inaccurate. We started sluggishly but found our feet and just kept them at arms length, until we landed the one decent punch we needed.

They are not very good at all, but it seems that they can do bits away from home, so maybe it's the pressure of playing in the old slag that drags them down. However their supposed best players in Bannan, Windass, Charles and Gassima may as well have not been on the pitch today. Only Patterson's shithousing and Smith's physicality looked like causing us any issues really. Defensively, they are woeful.

The best team, with the best individuals won.
They were agricultural, a throw back to a bygone era of football. Given they have won more points from losing positions and scored more goals after 80 mins than any other team in the league, I feared the worst. They look old school to me and put it in the mixer. If this is Rohl's data driven reaction to football, then I've misjudged him.

Wow - Wednesday have won one of the last 10 derbies. One of the worst runs of either team in the derby's 130 year history.

Only bettered once, when Wednesday only won one of 14 between 1893 and 1900.

This is a truly historic period of dominance for us.
No Rumbelows Cup wins though so it doesn't count.

I think Rohls master plan is to get as many 6 foot 4 thugs in the team and bully the opposition

his subs did nothing to affect the game ,, but I never felt we look like conceding and the play leading to the goal , pecks divine tur and pass to Campbell and his beating of the defender were worthy of the win, and Brewsters calm finish

Playing at the Old Slag - 😆😍

How bad were they? Coops did what Coops does and those couple of chances apart that has to be one of the most comfortable one nil wins all season. I'm usually a nervous wreck for derby matches but when I saw their team I was chilled as fuck. That was a walk in the park for us, we were better in every department and you really could see why the two teams are separated by 30 points. I know they're claiming a victory because we only scored one, and they're banging on about how crap we are and how we're no better than them but we really are. Shows how poor some teams in this league must be because I'm scratching my head how that shower of shit have beaten anybody.

Bannan, their main man 😂😂😂😂😂😂 was fucking dire, he did shit all and if they still revere him as their saviour then they're well and truly fucked whereas us, with some great young players are streets ahead. Seriki, Sydie, Burrows, Coops etc., great time to be a Blade so enjoy the rest of the season regardless. We've done the double over the Filth, happy days.

Oh and any team with this in it's going to struggle

Yesterday was so strange, it wasn't that I was confident of winning but I had no pre game nerves at all, I can't even be bothered to give pigs any stick today, what's goin off? 😂

Rohl may well be a very good manager but the way I see it he is playing a style that will get results from the squad he has which is limited in ability. What I've seen of Mittwoch is a team with a couple of big lumps up front who they boot the ball to and hope something drops for them. Their defence especially the keeper looks to have errors in them, no real quality in midfield except maybe bald Barry now and again, WTF were we interested in Charles? A typical up and at em team where any result could happen depending on luck, they have got a few results in the last few minutes of games by throwing everyone forward in a last banzai charge.

To be fair, the pitch is so bad for home games, it's not exactly conducive to free flowing football played on the ground

Mad tactics. It's as if he thought United and Wilder had never faced a long ball hoof team and would be shocked by this amazing tactical innovation!

I genuinely thought they were one of the very worst teams we have played. After the first ten minutes. I thought we looked very comfortable and could step it up when needed. Like men against boys ! I think our players realised pretty quickly that they were beneath us.

Good God they are terrible, for all the talk of Rohl being a great coach, he's been there virtually a season and a half and there progress/improvement is minimal at best, look at what wilder achieved in his first season and a half, end of story.

Just to add salt in the wounds to the 45-36 score line.

SUFC 11 League double wins SWFC 6.

Pigs won 5 of the 6 before the first world war! They go on about us being a small club and having won nothing in the last 100 years. Well in that timescale we've done the double 9 times to their one. That aberration being down to Blackwell in season 08/09.

In more recent times Harris, Bassett, Warnock and Wilder have all achieved one. Pub league team my arse.

Not really a fair comparison. We had sellable young assets to fund building the team that took us to the PL. The Pigs didn’t & he’s still stuck with a load of deadwood on big wages that is average L1 standard. I actually think that keeping them up last season & getting to mid table this is a decent performance when you look at how shite their squad is. He’s certainly getting a lot more than the sum of the parts. He didn’t inherit anything of the quality of a Basham, Coutts or Sharp to work with.
