This season's hoof count so far: nil.(or at least, I don't recall seeing any hoofball last night)

Long may it continue!

Hoofball being an aimless punt upfield hoping someone gets their head on it - yes.

But watch out for Conor Coady, I think he could become a great exponent of the accurate long ball as per the goal against York :)

A new TC? a great exponent of the accurate long ball

Tell you what, when I saw that goal, that is exactly what I thought.

I think he looks a right prospect that one, unfortunately he belongs to Liverpool.

Lets hope they don't need him after Christmas

Hoofball - RIP.

I don't want hoofball to rest in peace, I want it screaming in torment every hour of every day. Long live proper football.

And Highbury_Blade something tells me that Mr Wier may have had a word about the pitch. If other sides in this division can have half-decent surfaces in December then we shouldn't have any issues at all. In addition, we've had some sun this summer rather than the 4 months of rain we had last year, which left the pitch beyond repair by September.

I think the trouble (aside from last year's endless rain) is the lack of sunlight. The South Stand and Westfield Corner shade the pitch.

In an ideal world we'd be able to afford transparent roofing like Newcastle have, but we make do with that mobile lighting thing. How effective that is I've no idea, but it can't do the electricity bill any favours....

Get solar panels on the roofs then. Every little helps
