I’ll tell you some home truths, Seriki and Brooks are two of the best young players in the division and will only get better. We have a young squad with good players to come back, we may have blown it this season but if we can keep the majority of the squad together we’ll do alright next season. I expect Hamer will be off for around 5-6 million. It’s possible Peck will be sold for big money but I’d rather not.

Weak and standoffish at the back and not clinical enough when it matters. Compare it to Coventry who kept us at bay despite our possession and took their chances when they came. It was a game I expected nothing from and it delivered exactly that but it stings when you get in front and have the chance to spring a bit of an upset.

Everything stems back to the summer bingo machine recruitment where we've basically tried to rebuild a hashed together squad as we went through the season. Coventry and Boro had theirs sorted by the end of August and did things properly.

Stability and clarity no matter what business you're in goes a long way and we won't get either of those until the summer.

Wilder's doing a decent job in the circumstances but red cards and daft decisions from our players when it comes to the crunch is where we keep falling down.

Yes mate. It just didn't feel like a battering to me. Plenty of shots, but a lot limited to speculative outside the box stuff and lots of possession in safe areas that Coventry were happy to let us have. We weren't poor by any stretch, but often think we lack the nouse, guile and quality to overcome these top sides

I would chuck Cooper into the mix to be honest, has credit in the bank from last season, but cannot dive or kick properly this season. Not had meaningful competition or adequate deputy for years

His biggest weakness for me is under high balls. Seems reluctant to come for them and often fumbles.

Tanganga is absolute SHITE. Nowhere near good enough to be captain. I really hope the £10 million we reportedly paid for him was bullshit.

We need 3 decent centre backs signed in summer. Bindon won't be signed,McGuiness is awful & I'm guessing Mee has just downed tools for rest of season.

Queuing down the fenced alley at Millwall waiting for the train back to Central London one of their fans was loudly gloating that wed paid 14m. Now I don’t believe that for a minute but 10m is believable as we were reportabley after Thomas at Coventry and he wd have cost a similar amount

Well our record this season against the top half teams is hardly tip top. We just cant keep a clean sheet. In front tonight, better team... 9 mins later we are losing. Not good enough. We are flat-track bullies.

Look, we made two mistakes and got punished. Against Coventry and Middlesbrough we created so many goal scoring chances early on in both these games, United could have been home and hosed in the first 20 mins…But sadly on both occasions our usual lack of composure in front of goal and our poor finishing let both these high flying clubs off the hook.
