Great. An argument about average championship wages where no one knows what the figure is.

Only if we get em in the FA cupBut will we take 3k to QPR in HMS Piss the League?
Otherwise it’s just a battered old tug boat.

Bladey bladenessLike you I'm hopeful but it could just as easily go the other way. Anels just been relegated, Doyle was pretty anonymous when he played against us, Berge could still leave and we've lost our best player from last season. Times that by a zillion and dip it in chocolate.
Why not ?
Five at the back plus keeper leaves space for Doyle.
May be a bit imaginative but exciting !
Using only "senior players" and assuming Davis and Clark sign, here is our squad of players including cover for all positions...And that's why it's a good job you aren't in charge of the finances for a Championship team. You can have cover. You can't have cover that constitutes some of your best and most expensive players and still keep a hold on the outgoings

Clark is a LCB and can also play LWB or DM he won't be challenging Basham on the right unless we have a serious injury problem.Using only "senior players" and assuming Davis and Clark sign, here is our squad of players including cover for all positions...

That's a 24 man squad and not counting youth players: Brunt, Osula, Gordon, Lopata, Jebbison, Starbuck, Seriki & Broadbent who could all feature

I'm reasonably confident there is something in the books that we are missing that helps us out.But there's also a £35m revenue drop from last season
And that's an extremely expensive squad with a lot of players expecting to play.Using only "senior players" and assuming Davis and Clark sign, here is our squad of players including cover for all positions...

If we can afford it without compromising the health of the club I'm all for it (as long as the players are all signed up for rotation as well)I'm reasonably confident there is something in the books that we are missing that helps us out.
Maybe we have laid off a good chunk of our installments on perm signings.
Maybe we have had some unexpected investment.
Maybe last year we saved well enough to earn something back for this year.
Maybe we had some money earmarked for the new training ground and we can't get what we want so we've spent it elsewhere.
Maybe McBurnie tanked the last few years specifically to stop us from having to pay some incentives (good lad!)
And that's an extremely expensive squad with a lot of players expecting to play.
I've never said "depth is bad". Just that it's difficult both financially and from a view of keeping players happy
Not arguing that. My initial point was that if Davis comes in I think Berge would be going outBut we've made the signings BEFORE anybody has been sold. Is that not a massive gamble that Berge "may" be sold? If nobody bids for him and we have those players in, we can't just send them back.
Why though? Totally different positions. Not arguing that. My initial point was that if Davis comes in I think Berge would be going out
I have no idea on Doyle. I suppose it depends what we told City we want him for? I'm not saying we can only have a couple of decent back ups, just that I'd be surprised if we can afford to have that many salaries on the books who aren't automatic startersWhy though? Totally different positions.
If Berge goes, we only really have Ndiaye for the #10 role. Some have said Doyle could play there, but will he?
“Some” have said = Guardiola has said. Why though? Totally different positions.

Agree on this. I thought Clark was right sided until today. If we get Clark then i guess it will be:I expect the link to Clark who is left footed is an indication that Hecky is looking to sign a LCB
I guess he'll have to play as a squad player this season but he is a great back up and presumably Anel can move to CB if Egan gets injured also. I can still see Bash playing a fair bit RWB is another option if we decide against signing cover for Baldock until Bogle is fit. There's Osborn also as a cover option like last season if we're really short.Agree on this. I thought Clark was right sided until today. If we get Clark then i guess it will be:
Anel - Egan - Clark
(poor Bash!)
Fixed. Little does the world know that the only reason for a global pandemic is because a team in red and white from the north of England got a bit big for their boots, and higher beings had to intervene. The football gods will make you eat those words
We'd become so insignificant that they'd forgot about us, then we ended up 5th in the Prem and they woke up and quickly put a stop to all that nonsense
It started with lockdown
Went to 14 away games last season. Rather go away then home tbh far better crack. And last seasons away support was superb noise wise. Especially forest in 2nd leg away. Awesome. Numbers wise we could still improve tho. I’m sure we use to travel in bigger numbers than we do nowHow ever many we take to QPR will be more than pigs will this season
