Highest league points in a calendar year?

With 13 games to go in 2017, we currently have 79 league points. No idea who holds the record for the most league points in a calendar year but when googling I found a PL website stating that Man U had 102 points in 1993. Dont know what is our record but I feel that we are not far off into breaking the record

For some reason last week I thought we got 55 points from the last 22 games last season. Was in bath tonight thinking about the two losses in the second half of last season then I thought "55 points in 20 games doesnt seem right". Checked the last 22 games of last season again after having had the bath and then I realised my error!

You are correct. If we lose both games then 88 points divided by 47 is 1.87 is still better than 93 points divided by 50 league games (1989) is 1.86
