Hi All,
Reading all the postings, it`s good to see that we can still have a laugh after a really disastrous season so far. Although we are Blades and ever the optimists, especially after two great wins in the last three.
The names Gary, originally from Sheffield, born in Darnall, grew up on The Arbourthorne (went to Norfolk School), married and lived in Netherthorpe and Walkley. Emigrated to South Africa in 1989, then moved up to Botswana in 1991, where we have been ever since! Spent 18 years on a diamond mine and am now at the mine`s Head Office in the capital, Gaborone.
Followed the Blades all over when I was home, seen them at 55 different grounds in England and also Dundee and St. Mirren (our own Jim Bone was their manager at the time) in the old anglo scots cup! Managed to get my photo in the programme (vs Pompey) over ten years ago after bungee jumping off the Vic Falls bridge in Zimbabwe with the Blades shirt on!
Up The Blades!
