I'm sure he has a lot of affection for United but he's from Leeds and supports Leeds. I'm not convinced he's done anything in management yet to suggest he'd do a good job here. One perhaps for the future.

He had me fooled in gatecrasher then the Saturday night following Leeds‘ draw with Reading which clinched us promotion in ‘06. Something along the lines of “fuck the Leeds scum“

I have no idea what qualifies you to say he was a crap footballer, but many professional opponents through the years have said they hated playing against him so maybe that is one credential he's got.
