Hendo back in the loan market

That's the problem him being a Man U fan. It's been his heart ruling his head. Had it not been for that, he could have been a permanent and settle No.1 for a top end Premier club ages ago.

I always thought he was a good keeper rather than a great one. He makes too many mistakes. It was as much his rapport with the fans as his goalkeeping that made him so popular here.
Agree. I think he backed himself to displace De Gea, when he was going through a dodgy spell. Now, from what I have seen, De Gea is back to his best and that is way better than Henderson

If only you could have held that thought for a few hours.

You’d be hard pushed to blame de Gea for any of the five goals today and the save from TAA in the second half was world class. Not saying Dean wouldn’t have made the same save because he may well have done but de Gea’s not exactly throwing goals in

Don't think de Gea was the real issue yesterday. Man Utd players just let Loverpool right passed them.

'There you go one on one'

No he wasn’t really to blame it was just the irony of the size of the defeat

England keeper Dean Henderson, 24, wants to leave Manchester United at the end of the season if he cannot overtake Spain stopper David de Gea, 31, as the first choice at Old Trafford. (Mail)

Do any of the clubs that could afford him need a new 1st choice keeper? Maybe Spurs if Lloris decamps to PSG, or Newcastle as Dubravka seems to be injured a lot.

Can see Newcastle showing an interest. potentially Englands No1 within a couple of years and there is 10 years in him too so they can really build a team around him

I can't see him permanently wanting to leave, he has huge confidence in his abilities, time on his hands, and is at his boyhood club.

i think west ham might be in for him moyes has turned em in to top 4 candidates

Well done !
Newcastle are targeting three Manchester Unitedplayers in January - Netherlands midfielder Donny van de Beek, 24, England midfielder Jesse Lingard, 28, and English goalkeeper Dean Henderson, 24. (Mirror)

Be a fool not to go if it comes off !

Be 3 very good additions.

Stuck at Man Utd
Gathering splinters
Should’ve stayed at BDTBL

How many go for the money & fade into oblivion
What a waste for this prospective England No.1

Crazy how quickly a career can turn at a big club who can afford to replace anyone with another quality player.
Problem with England national team, ”big money clubs” buy our best young talent and stick them on a bench so their rivals don’t get them and the player never gets top level competitive football.

As good a keeper as Henderson is and as well as he did at Utd during those 2 seasons, do you really think splashing £120k/week + loan fee on a keeper would have been the best use of the club's resources, even if he had agreed to return (which he wouldn't have)?

You can’t knock the lad for wanting to be number 1 at his club.

He was transparent with that from day one of signing on loan.

The fact he gets paid £120k (or however much) a week is irrelevant. He just took advantage of the conditions at the time.(who wouldn’t)

I fully expect him to move on in the summer and smash it at his next club quickly establishing himself as England’s number 1 keeper.

I take my hat off to him for showing the courage and belief to challenge De Gea for the number 1 jersey despite it not working out for him.

I wasn't expecting Utd to bring him back & pay that,
What I want to happen is players with a future to take a long term look at what happens when you go to a top 10 club, you will most likely end up gathering splinters & not progressing in the international teams.
The question is do you want to play football & earn a very nice 20k p/w ( over 1 million per year ) or waste your time not playing games and earning 120k p/w ( 6 million per year ).

If you opt for the latter then you got what you wanted.

But it is still a tradgedy, for both yourself & for the England national team .

Annoys me that Ramsdale has leapfrogged him in the England team.

Henderson is a much better keeper.

Hes not if hes not playing. Ramsdale is an ever present and has had good reviews. Hes proved he can play for a big club week in week out and handle the pressure. Can Hendo do that at Old Trafford ? Nobody knows yet and until they do hes in this hinterland of earning a fortune but not playing.

on the flip of this you have rammers. Although i do think there is a chasm between Man Utd ‘big’ and Arsenal ‘big’.

I think the best idea as a player like hendo is aiming for a top 10 club to make your mark before going for the really big elite clubs, Liverpool are a bit of an exception to this, they buy scrupulously and dont really have multi million £ bench warmers, but Man u, City, Chelsea, forget about it

Stop the loan market in all the divisions, it would make clubs only buy players that they intend to include in their squad.
Players are bought young and cheap and sent out on loan to develop, giving clubs results that they might never achieve.

hendo played a big part of us getting to the premier league and that first season but he used us just as we used him to get in the shop window and yes as much as i rate rammy henderson is the better keeper of the 2 imo
