The fact we are all discussing the merits of playing either/both Higdon and Henderson is quite concerning
For the life of me, I don't see either player being good enough to play in a promotion winning side
What worries me is the lack of discussions concerning the merits of playing this centre back with that centre back . Apart from Kennedy we haven't got any.
[Collins is not the answer and one of the reasons why we are in the third tier in the first place].
He has been on trial at Forest - it was widely reported a couple of weeks ago.
I'm not saying Henderson would be my first choice by any means but there is no harm in having a (free) look at him. He would certainly add a different dimension (height, size, physicality, heading ability, bolster the defence at set pieces etc) to the side (perhaps from the bench) and one we were sadly lacking last season.
Maybe NA is considering him as a more direct, battering ram type option. The only thing being, I thought Higdon was meant to be our plan B when the pretty, tippy tappy stuff doesn't break defences down.
Neither is Kennedy...
Yes Bradford. But agree he was more mobile than Henderson.I'd rather we signed Steven Davies back. I don't think he's signed for anyone yet, has he?

Not sure why we never signed him when we had chance. I thought he added a lot towards the end of the season.
Because one goal in seven games is a poor scoring record and he has an injury history like James Wallace.
Of course, had Clough stayed , he would have signed him.
As for Henderson, I can only say that I can't remember hating a Blades player as much as I did Henderson when he missed that open goal when it was 1-1 vs Boro in 2011.

Or loving one as much when he thumped in an angled winner, for his hat trick at Ashton Gate![]()
He scored at least three that I can remember, including the one against Donny at home, up there with Murphy's, and the header against Swindon in the away leg of the play offs was great. He was often brought on from the bench so did not start that many games and he gave us a badly needed physical presence up front, one which we will be lacking again this season at this rate.

2 goals in 14 league games is one in seven.
Including playoffs it's one in five. Not good enough either way.
Wots up with higdon?Just playing devils advocate ,but if I had Murphy and JCR/Flynn/Woolford on the wings and Done upfront ,I would rather see Henderson partner him than Billy Sharp.
eight goals in 25 appearances for the O’s in all competitions last season
I think he did, yes - and the week is still young. Star running a report today saying 'sources close to the negotiation process recently confirming that both United and Leeds are “not a million miles away” from agreeing a fee'This source said that Sharp would sign this week
