Already a thread in the rumour mill.

However if this news is true, do we have another liar on our books in Wilson. I am sure other day he said that no players have asked to leave and he had received no bids for anyone. A day later Henderson looks on his way?

Glad to get rid though however I think he could have been a force in L1.

If you think he could be a force in L1 ,why the hell are you glad to get rid ?

With his injury and disciplinary record, you've got to ask yourself how many full games would we have actually got out of him? I'll make a prediction..he'll be red carded within his first 5 games for them.

I think this relates to wages... at this level,Wilson will have been told to make money before he spends any. So if we say Darius is on £8k a week,we'll save the best part of 400 grand.

That is apparantly true, he didn't/wouldn't request a move. He told the club/board/McCabe he wanted to stop at the club, but the board were having none of it

Now if that is true and his intentions were honourable, then good on him. However, some might say that by requesting a transfer, he loses out financially, so who knows

Try doubling the wage and you'll be closer.

I think it's a combination of a good and bad deal this.

It's a good deal because we get a wage of 15-20k a week off the books.

But it's a bad deal because I believe Darius should still command a fee from at least 500k - maybe 1 million. And really thats money we could have used to help us try to purchase 1 or 2 players or broker deals for some of the better free transfers out there.

If he really wanted to stay then he would have offered to take a wage cut

The problem being that any buying club will factor in the salary as well as any fee paid. That £500k fee may well make him unaffordable for Millwall, assuming that he is going there for a similar salary. My guess is that he is going there for a slight drop in salary, sweetened by a decent signing-on fee, which is only affordable because we are letting him go for free.

No one in the press seems to be mentioning a free transfer btw.

Do you reckon he will go Flat_Bob? I cant see him agreeing to the sort of terms being reported in the star.

Way I see it is unless someone offers close to what we are paying him he'll sit it out here.

Nailed on 'undisclosed' Bob.

Considering he's in the last year of his contract and missed most of last season injured, anything we get would be a bonus tbh.

Thing is, if there's no (official) fee, he'll be able to command a signing on fee. As I say, it'll be cloak and dagger, undisclosed leaving all parties happy.

Yes I think he will go, only based on the way I think we are going.

Telegraph reckon Hendo will take a £9k/week drop down to £6k/week to play for Millwall.

So, if he's gone on a free as E89 suggests and he's now on £6k/week and Hendo said he wants to stay with us, couldn't we have come up with a similar package to keep him with us?

I appreciate a load of if's, buts and probably half truths......................but

"following relegation we are aware that some players will want to move and Darius, who is in his late 20's, feels at this moment in time that it is very important to be playing in the Championship"
