Yes, this business of "Listen" is not that important in the scheme of things but, nevertheless it is annoying. It started years ago in cricket, particularly, amongst the Aussies . Ricky Ponting in particular. Totally unnecessary as the person who asked the question is already listening.

Rio 'everyone listen to me' Ferdinand also starts most sentences when he's jabbering on about some of his latest shite on Sky with 'Listen'.

Annoying. I usually shout 'no I dont think I will Rio you scrotum tickler' and i go and make a cuppa til he's disappeared off the screen again or the match has restarted. I don't need that irritating burk to tell me to 'listen'. Sorry Rio, your simply not that interesting.
